For 25pts alone they just aren't worth it. However for generation and turn to click 9 they are absolutely awesome. They bring a lot of damage with blades, flurry and exploit at 11atk. Incredible when used with Blackheart.

I can think of one circumstance where a single Hellfire Club Guard is worth the investment: When HoX Emma Frost and her 27.01 team-up card is in play. Using Krakoan Revival is a balancing act, but between it and Diplomatic Immunity it could be keeping something like the Tr-Sentinel in play.

@tidge unfortunately you can’t bring back a colossal with the Krakoan Revival trait. It specifies a “standard” character.

Hellfire Club Guard isn't a colossal. Emma is bringing back the Mastermind fodder, as well as providing Krakoan Immunity.

Thank you for the clarification tidge. I was assuming that you were using it for the tri-sentinel and not looking at what else Emma Frost does.

Honestly, they’re mostly only good if you play them with blackheart. I like to use two blackhearts and just create an army. Then one of them turns them into monsters and they just go to town. The mastminder fodder is a big bonus.
