Fair Warning: This article may contain spoilers about the subject it reviews.
The Jumanji franchise is a series of movies that revolve around two games: Jumanji and Zathura. The first Jumanji came out in 1995 and starred the late great Robin Williams. Zathura was not billed as a Jumanji movie, but does have a quick appearance from the game featured in the first movie. The most recent, Dwayne Johnsen led films are actually the third and fourth movies, and involve a video game instead of a board game. All the movies revolve around a magical game that brings to life what occurs in the game.

Potential powers and Traits:
This could make for some interesting powers. The four lead characters don't rely on guns or special powers, as three of them are scientists. But there is a lot of fisticuffs and even some blade work. We'll see a lot of CCE and Blades/Claws/Fangs, probably some Exploit Weakness. Dr. Bravestone is a specialist with Boomerangs, so we'll see something that allows him to attack from a previously hit target's square.
Shifting Focus could appear. The four chases will be able to become either their common or uncommon version. They could shift into a lower point version.
Keywords:
Jumanji should be a keyword. Maybe a Jumanji Hero and Jumanji Enemy to differentiate? Animal for Cyclone and the Hyena. Cosmic will appear on the Zathura related characters. You could even make a case for Zathura being a keyword. Jumanji Avatar could be used for player characters.
Character Spotlight
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dr Bravestone
Played by Dwayne Johnson, Dr Bravestone is the smoldering adventurer hoping to save Jumanji. No weaknesses until the second movie, which finds him weak to Switchblade. The Switchblade character will have a bonus to attacking him. Expert with a Boomerang, strength and speed. Two versions, one where Spencer is playing him and a more reckless, less careful version where his grandfather (played by Danny DeVito) is controlling him.
Ruby Roundhouse
The "Killer of Men" Ruby Roundhouse is played by Karen Gillian. Expert in Dance fighting and later, Nunchuks. Common version will be weak against Venom, so possibly a trait that increases Poison damage dealth to her. The Uncommon version will have Flurry traited for her Nunchuk usage.
Mouse Finbar
Franklin Finbar is Dr Bravestone's weapon valet played by Kevin Hart. He's a Zoologist and his Uncommon version will be able to speak to Animals, represented by Animal keyword only Perplex or Mind Control. He was able to talk Camels into transporting them, so maybe giving friendly Animal keyword characters Carry? Cake makes him explode, so something could be done with that as a trait.
Professor Oberon
Professor Shelly Oberon, played by Jack Black is the "map guy" and good at Archeology and Geometry. His weakness include Endurance. In the second movie he also has a weakness to Heat, Sun and Sand. So a trait could be that he takes damage for taking a second action token, or moving too far. As a map reader, he could also have a trait that helps him and friendly characters work on the map better.
Why would Wizkids even attempt this?
The movies are classics. The new movies have been received very well. As they are video/board game characters, they should translate fairly well.
That's it for this edition of Bringing Indy Back! We'll see you next time!

SO EPIC!!!! Map Recommendations could be the Mayan Temple, the Hidden Fountains, the underground caverns & Madripoor.
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
So we get Jumanji in 'bringing indy back' but we've never gotten Indiana Jones? With special 'Lost Ark' object? Bring him back!
::TRAIT:: "What are you going to do, Jones, blow it back to God?" Once per game, Indiana Jones may make ranged attack against a single character, attack value of 10, range of 8, and 4 damage. Adjacent characters are dealt 2 damage each.
And I saw someone mention Danny Devito, so we need to see The Gang from Always Sunny now.
