OUTWIT
FREE: Minimum range 6. Choose a target opposing character within range and line of fire and then choose one: any standard power -or- a special power printed on the target’s card. The target can’t use the chosen power until your next turn.

TEAM ABILITY:
WONDER WOMAN(tm) ALLY
Super Senses, but only succeeds on a [6]. If the character can already use Super Senses, instead increase the result of its roll for Super Senses by +1.

KRYPTONIAN SKIN AND KRYPTONIAN SENSES
Impervious. Super Senses.
Protected: Outwit
Could I have a character Outwit Super Senses as a standard power against an opposing WW80 016 Superman (the one with “Kryptonian Skin and Kryptonian senses”) legally, and if so, would it mean the Super Senses granted by the Wonder Woman Ally team ability would not work, and the Super Senses roll for Superman would be 5 through 6? I’m not trying to rules lawyer I have way too much time on my hands and am curious. I’m well aware this violates the spirit of the power interactions if it isn’t outright illegal or at least not functional. I want to get the mechanics as solid as I can too. And yes, I realize the defense special power of “Kryptonian skin and Kryptonian senses” is unaffected by regular non-Secret Six Outwit, but it is my understanding that “Kryptonian skin and Kryptonian senses” is separate from Super Senses.
EDIT: And yes, I’m aware that you technically can’t outwit a team ability/EDIT
Thanks either way in advance.

Reason: Preemptive
I believe Superman would still get the if the character can already use Super Senses, instead increase the result of its roll for Super Senses by +1, since that is part of the team ability not Super Senses (which you can definitely Outwit).
Wishing for competitive Judge Dredd figures for Modern Age...WizKids are you listening?!?!

Oh if it was a snake it would’ve bit me!
Thanks for the answer. Say what you will about the rules but they cover corner cases pretty well.

Are you sure?
Protected: Outwit
This power or ability and any standard powers granted by it can’t be chosen by Outwit. If a power or ability was previously chosen by Outwit, the duration of that Outwit immediately expires. Outwit’s “can’t use” doesn’t apply to this keyphrase.
Since Super Sense is granted by KRYPTONIAN SKIN AND KRYPTONIAN SENSES, it has Protected: Outwit can can't be chosen when targeting Superman.
If any of the sentences would make more sense if the verb (or any other word) was a negative please treat it as such.

Correct! Unless an opposing character can negate Protected:Outwit, any powers granted by KSAKS cannot be Outwitted.

The OP's question was if the Super Senses from the WW TA could be Outwitted. Yes and it has no bearing. You can not Outwit Kryptonian Skin and Kryptonian Senses and you can't Outwit Impervious and Super Senses granted by KSandKS. However, Super Senses is granted through two different sources (KSandKS and WW TA), only one is Protected: Outwit. The 1 in 6 version of SS, should be able to be Outwitted, since Super Senses is not Safeguard: Outwit.

You can't choose "SS from KS &KS" or "KS WWTA" when using Outwit.
You can only say "I outwit SS".
And SS is protected by Protected: Outwit so it can't be chosen.
Edit: If KS&KS wasn't Protected: Outwit, you'd have a choice:
Outwit KS&KS and doing so the character can't use SS or Impervious granted by KS&KS (but still use SS from WWTA), to outwit SS so Superman can't use SS in any capacity (either from KS&KS or WWTA).
But since it Ouwit: Protected, so are SS and Impervious from any source.

The source you are attempting to outwit SS from doesn't matter. You name a standard power, or a special power on a character's card.
So it doesn't matter what "version" of SS you are outwitting (because this isn't a thing). KSAKS' Protected: Outwit means Super Sense cannot be Outwit.
== After re-reading Coyote's post above it looks like we're saying the same thing, but a (I suspect) typo in the first sentence makes it unclear.
