(+5 Points) Really? You Think I Could Pull It Off?: Spider-Man starts the game with the Disney+ #s004 Cloak of Levitation equipped. If You Can Make It Here, You Can Make It Anywhere: Super Senses, but succeeds on 4-6. When Spider-Man uses it and succeeds, after resolutions give the attacker an action token.

Potion-Pot Pete is honestly one of the better incarnations of Spider-Man I think we’ve seen. Of course, nothing will compare to the WotR Chase, but that’s kind of the point. If you pair him with his cloak he goes from good to great, and his traited Senses with built-in distracting banter will be ideal for setting up the “Why can’t we get a 616 version this good” discussions.
Rogers Inbound: When Hydra Stomper is KO'd, you may generate a Disney+ #002 Skinny Steve Rogers from your Sideline on click #1 in the square he last occupied. Protected: Pulse Wave. Stark Made Me Some New Dancing Shoes: Quake. When Hydra Stomper uses it, he may also target all characters that he moved through this turn.
When I first saw the name for this piece on a LEGO box, I assumed that it was going to be the big bad Captain Carter had to fight. A Stomper for Hydra, not a Stomper for stomping Hydra. Language, man, what a concept. Regardless, Skinny Steve’s Special Suit of Sorrows has the biggest reducers you’ll find in the set, a wealth of keywords, a fun sideline trick, and the ability to PeneQuake a whole mess of people. He’s built to smash up formations, and he’s going to excel against a lot of the short dials in this set. Just watch out for opposing snipers.
(+5 Points) Where Have You Been All My Life?: Captain Carter starts the game with the Disney+ #s005 Captain Carter's Shield equipped. We Will Stop Hydra!: Defend. // UNIQUE MODIFIER – Non-adjacent friendly characters within range modify defense +1. Time to Make an Entrance: Giant Reach: 6, Quake. // When Captain Carter knocks back an opposing character, she may choose the direction of the knockback.

What If…the Invisible Woman wanted to break people with her bare hands? Peggy brings a ludicrous 12-square reach that can knock people towards her waiting friends who are all sitting pretty with a potential 21 defense if you can give her the shield.
Peggy sticks the superhero landing.

You Have a Super Soldier...Me!: Stealth. // Captain Carter may start the game with Disney+ #s005 Captain Carter's Shield equipped and/or Disney+ #s001 Super Soldier Serum equipped. She may have both of these equipped at the same time. Her One Choice Gave Birth to a Whole New History: When establishing themed teams, characters on your starting force with the Soldier or Spy keywords gain the S.H.I.E.L.D. keyword. Nothing This Woman Can't Handle: Invincible, Willpower. You Take Your Orders from Me: Enhancement. // Leadership. When Captain Carter uses it and succeeds, once this turn, a friendly character that has S.H.I.E.L.D. team ability may use it as FREE.
Prime Peggy packs powerful punch, prevents penetrating pain, puts pals in potent positions. Pretty proud of that pattern. Peggy can be a one woman army, but she’ll still have plenty of points to play with powerful potentates. Now I can’t stop. Put Peggy in a position to prevent payback and she’ll pay plenty.
Targeting: Hindering All-New Halloween Spooktacular!: Shape Change. When Agnes uses it and succeeds, heal her 1 click. Please Stand By: STOP. Senor Scratchy: FREE: Generate a Senor Scratchy bystander [MAX 1].

(Automonous) Senor Scratchy Sure Does Love to Nibble: Blades/Claws/Fangs, but halve the d6 result. Talent Show Star: Enhancement. // UNIQUE MODIFIER - Friendly adjacent characters with the Mystical or Celebrity keyword modify attack +1.
Kathryn Hahn steals everything she’s in, but this version of her is your best supporting actress nom. I wish she kept Senor Scratchy on her first psyblast clicks, as that would make her a much more offensive piece. But the idea of flinging evil rabbits at people like the crazy cat lady on the Simpsons might alone justify fielding her. But add the rabbits buffs to her TK and psyblast, and you have the start of a winning spell.
Because It Can't All Be Sorrow, Can It?: POWER: If no other friendly character has been placed this turn, choose an opposing character that attacked Vision or damaged another friendly character since your last turn. Place Vision such that he can make a close attack targeting the chosen character, then do so. // If the opposing character damaged another friendly character with the Celebrity keyword, this trait is activated as FREE instead. Are You Familiar with the Ship of Theseus?: Phasing/Teleport, Super Senses. // Friendly characters automatically break away from characters that Vision hit this turn. But What Is Grief, If Not Love Persevering?: STOP. Shape Change, Support. // FREE: KO Vision. If you do, choose a friendly character and roll a d6. Heal the chosen character equal to the result.
I missed the first round of Retaliator pieces. I gather they’re good? But aren’t they supposed to be last-ditch late-dial abilities? Viz is broadcasting that all the time. His ranged attacks are stronger than his up close results, but still. This is a power piece that demands play. Layers of defenses, loads of damage, and a deep dial for a 100 points make this a computer that can probably run Crysis.

Naturally, the Ship of Theseus Is an Artifact in a Museum: Plasticity. // Adjacent opposing characters can't use improved abilities. Wanda Maximoff Must Be Neutralized, You Must Be Destroyed: Flurry, Phasing/Teleport. When The Vision uses Phasing/Teleport, after resolutions it can use Flurry as FREE. I Am Vision: Invincible, Super Senses, Willpower. Protected: Outwit. I Request Elaboration: Outwit, Shape Change. When The Vision uses Shape Change and succeeds, after resolutions heal it 1 click.
If 043a is a decent gaming rig, 043b is a liquid-cooled, dual-GPU, multi-TB SSD with RAID striping and enough USB ports to support Tony Stark’s wildest fantasies. Ignore the 100 and 50 point lines. Ignore everything else you’ve pulled. And quietly think to yourself about the Shopping Mall map, and when it is going to be updated…this version of Vision is going to be the baddest thing on the map.

Ponder the Question...What If?: At the beginning of the game, roll a d6 and give The Watcher a number of What If? tokens equal to half the result. // POWER: Remove a What If? token. If you do, replace an adjacent friendly character with a character of equal or less points on your Sideline. The replacement character must share a name with the replaced character.
Uatu know how disappointing I find this version of the Watcher, but telling you would mean to interfere. Maybe he’ll find a use in Constructed, but I’d leave him on the moon.
(+5 Points) The Tesseract: Loki starts the game with the Disney+ #s006 Tesseract equipped. There Should Be an Alligator Tank: Charge, Flurry, Stealth. Overly Sensitive: Blades/Claws/Fangs, Precision Strike. When Loki uses Blades/Claws/Fangs, hit characters gain Immobile until your next turn.
The sheer love that Animal teams are getting recently is enough to make Betty White smile down on all of us from her cloud. The two figures I want most from this set are both named Loki and neither are played by Hiddleston. Crocaloki is going to be nuts on water maps, and I can’t wait to chase pirates around with him.

(+5 Points) It's Actually White Wolf: Winter Soldier starts the game with the Disney+ #s001 Super-Soldier Serum equipped. I Got a Vibranium Arm, I Can Take Them: Close Combat Expert, Super Senses, Willpower. I'm Not a Killer Anymore: Running Shot, Stealth. // Charge, but only if Winter Soldier occupies hindering terrain.
This Bucky brings all the options you could ask for in a covert operative. If someone’s at range, Psyblast. If they’re close in, CCE/EW. If they try to shoot back, hide in a bush. He’s not as drop-dead amazing as he could be, but he brings a very effective attacker dial. Standard caveat of “if you get his equipment he’s that much better” applies.
(+5 Points) The Tesseract: Loki starts the game with the Disney+ #s006 Tesseract equipped. A Politician You Can Trust: Leadership, Shape Change. When Loki uses either and succeeds, give him a Broken Promise token (maximum 3). // When Loki is hit by an opponent's attack, remove all his Broken Promise tokens. // If Loki has 3 Broken Promise tokens, he has "FREE: Choose an opposing character within range and deal them 1 penetrating damage. After resolutions roll a d6. 1-3: Remove a Broken Promise token." Come On... What Did You Expect?: Outwit, but can use it an additional number of times equal to his Broken Promise tokens. Protected: Outwit.

I can’t wait to see the teams of Politician Loki with the likes of Lex Luthor and Senator Kelly. He’ll have to use some Mastermind fodder in sealed so that he can appropriately raise or lower your taxes by .093% depending on your position, but otherwise if he can build up enough Broken Promises he can just leverage his mandate and truly speak for the people.

Don't Touch Redwing: When Redwing is KO'd, generate a Redwing Light Object in the same square it last occupied.
Ignoring Redwing shenanigans for a moment, Sam is one of the fastest ways to close in and smack someone in the entire set. He brings back his mirror synergy with Winter Soldier from the common slots, swapping Bucky’s Charge for his own Running shot as long as they’re trying to hide. Aside from a bump in his speed slots-understandable-he matches his best bro’s stats. Adding Redwing though and you end up with a recursive bird. It’s weird. Starting with the Redwing equipment lets you generate a Redwing bystander which turns back into the Redwing Equipment which lets you generate a Redwing bystander…And that source of Outwit puts Falcon over the top for me.
Yes, President Loki is crazy. Especially in sealed because there are fewer answers to his shenanigans. Just getting 1 Broken Promise token makes him so much more threatening, getting more is just evil! Coming with the Tesseract is cool, but I think there are probably better Lokis to use it on...you need someone that is going to be moving more, the prez wants to find a spot and use his 7 range Psy Blast, someone like common Loki or Kid Loki have more incentive to move.
Wanna trade? Check out my H/W list -------------------------V
I am impressed with a few things about this group of SRs. The first is that there isn't a single one of the characters that is completely out of left field for the set's name. The second is that none of them are bad to include on a team or build a team around. The only bad thing about this bunch is that they make the lower-rarity pieces look that much worse.
The only piece I want to dump on is The Watcher, but with the recent errata/clarification that he can bring in replacements (or even another copy of the same dial!) AT TOP DIAL (subject to placement, etc.) is going to offer some teams very brutal options.
Agnes and (President) Loki are more specialized. The former is more obviously a support figure (who throws autonomous cats!), The latter comes with a piece of equipment that many other figures can pay to equip. I absolutely would not sleep on (President) Loki with 2+ Broken Promise tokens.
