Hi I am trying to build a team using the Professor X #028 swap (RECRUITING FOR A FUTURE THREAT) power. I was thinking about starting with Deadpool #100 to give everyone a Goodie Bag token before he is swapped out:

The power reads:

GOT EVERYONE GOODIE BAGS!: At the beginning of the game, give each friendly character a Goodie Bag token and roll a d6. This game, friendly characters have the listed effect: 1-2: Balloons! - FREE: Remove a Goodie Bag token to gain [Wing symbol] this turn. 3-4: Cake! - FREE: Remove a Goodie Bag token to heal 2 clicks. 5-6: Illegal Weapons! - FREE: Remove a Goodie Bag token to modify damage +1 this turn.

Would that combo? Or for some reason his team mates would lose the power after Deadpool goes into the sideline?

It works as long as you win initiative. If you lose initiative, your opponent chooses the order of beginning of the game effects so they will make you swap before handing out goodie bags.

The order of resolution wouldn't matter in this case. When "Beginning of the Game" effects trigger, they all resolve even if the character that possessed them is no longer on the map when the effect would resolve. This is the case for all effects. Once they trigger, you resolve as much of them as legally possible even if the character is no longer on the map.

In this case, Deadpool's effect would still hand out Goodie Bags and you would roll a d6 for the effect even though he is no longer on the map. "This game" is assumed to include "even if lost" (see below), so friendly characters would still retain the ability to perform a FREE action and remove the Goodie Bag token for an effect.
