First, when making the close attack on opposing figures in the line of return for Mjolnir to Thor, I'm assuming that your splitting up your natural 5 damage amongst all those valid targets or are you doing your printed damage to every figure in it's path? I'm assuming not because that would be obscene! It's just not very clear to me.
Second, assuming that your splitting your damage amongst hit valid targets, can that close attack be empowered? Doesn't say anything to prohibit it.
Lastly, since the return flight of Mjolnir doesn't occur until the following turn, you can maneuver Thor to another square to maximize the return path level of destruction and number of opposing figure targets in it?
Just trying to wrap my head around this...thanks!

You only divide damage during attacks using ; Mjolnir Trait does NOT use 's.

Attacks that target “all characters” do not use the limit from bolts. Unless specified otherwise, the attack still follows all other attack rules.

Yep, it's a Close Attack so Empower will increase damage dealt. To EACH hit target.

Yes, this could lead to all kinds of great fun by use Incap to double-token opposing figs, or causing opposing figs gain Immobile.

That last comment about incap or immobile... I'm not seeing it or mentioned in the power set or powers. Can you explain?

Yeah, this is my thinking as well.
My only other question to this ability is that since it happens at the end of the turn and it doesn't say "Power", I assume that Thor doesn't get a token when this Trait is utilized at the end of the turn, correct?
CLOSE/RANGE: If the Mjolnir special marker is not on the map, make a close/range attack targeting a single opposing character within range and line of fire, regardless of adjacency, modifying attack and damage +1.
This initial part is confusing me for some reason. Is it a CLOSE or RANGE attack? And what does the "within range regardless of adjacency" do for the action? Do you get to choose which type of action? My brain is not grasping this one for some reason.

Thanks.
You can make EITHER a Close OR Range attack, it's whatever you decide. So let's say the opposing figure is right next to Thor while on click 7, you can decide use his Range Combat ability despite being next to him.
That wording "regardless of adjacency" is going to make a HUGE difference in Thor dishing out damage. For a mere 125pt., he's gonna be a legitimate threat on the board.

This is my question as well...(it's missing POWER action or FREE close attack) I'm so confused!
Either it's a power action/close attack and they just flubbed the power description…
or
it's FREE/non-costed and they just omitted the word(s).
If it is a power action, I could see how they could rationalize his ridiculously low point cost for such an awesome damage capability having the handicap of having to actually line up your ducks in a row in turn two. Essentially, forcing Thor to take last action every other turn.
If they don't intend for it to be a power action, then is it FREE or something else? That would be inconceivable (sorry just picturing Wallace Shawn) if this was the case.
This also makes me wonder about another wrinkle in the Mjolnir trait:
Imaging...
1. 1st turn Thor range attacks (first action token)
2. 2nd turn, Thor attacks again without bonus (second action token)...end of turn 2, mjolnir returns (close attack effect of mjolnir)
If Thor chose to range attack in back-to-back turns, would Mjolnir trait not activate?
I'm sure this is wrong. It has to be wrong...right?
I look forward to greater minds revealing the answer.

Throwing the hammer is a costed action. CLOSE or RANGE action.
The return trip happens automatically at the end of your turn (not the same turn you threw it, but the next one). No action token for that. It just happens automatically.
Agreed. Considering that it forces Thor to do this particular ability at the END of the turn and coupled with the fact it doesn't say "Power", I would come to the conclusion it's a "free" action that doesn't give him a token.
You’re right that it doesn’t give him an action token, but it’s not an action at all. It’s an effect you get to use, when the trigger is met. In this case, when it’s the end of your turn.
A FREE action would be something you can choose to activate during your turn. This is a triggered effect.
Turn 1 - Give him an action token. Running shot ranged attack. Hit an opposing figure. Drop the Hammer token adjacent to the hit figure.
Turn 2 - Roll for power cosmic. Give him an action token. Running shot *again* hitting another figure without the bonus attack and damage. Have someone else reposition him via TK.
End of Turn 2 - Recall the hammer destroying blocking and close attack all opposing figures in return path *for FREE*
Is this what we're concluding?

Yes, that's how it works. (Although "FREE" means something specific in HeroClix that doesn't apply here. But yes, you do the hammer recall without gaining any action tokens)

Wow. If that's the case, I have to wonder if it was intentional by WK or will soon be errata'd once it's seen tourney play.
