Over three years ago, I requested Ghost Riders at every rarity, and since then, you've made collecting Ghost Riders easier than ever by doing just that. A huge thanks to you for that alone.
But then you went and made Wheels of Vengeance, which not only brought Ghost Riders at every rarity, but is straight up a love letter to Ghost Rider fans and Marvel horror fans. This set has it all-- Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, Alejandra Jones, Robbie Reyes, Kenchiro Cochrane, and more... and that's without getting into all the horror heroes. That alone would've been great, but that you included classic Ghost Rider villains like Orb, Blackout, Lilith, Zadkiel, Zarathos, and Vengeance... It's a dream come true. I couldn't be happier to see them, and I'm stoked as hell that the dials are more rad than I could've imagined. Orb & Zarathos are bonkers, and that PAH Ghost Rider? As good as it gets.
As promised in that first thread, I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I am buying product. I'm buying Play-at-Home Kits, Dice & Token packs, a few boosters, and loads of figures off the secondary market. There is A TON in this set that I want, and I'm excited to collect them all.
Haha I'm admittedly irked that you made Vengeance a chase character, but all told, that makes sense— plenty of us have waited years for him. Thank you for catering to Marvel horror fans! I hope it pays in dividends for you and heralds more niche Marvel sets.
Admittedly, I'm not buying a case like I had planned because of the four-character boosters and the many duplicates in the Scott Porter unboxings. Five-character boosters, even at that rate of duplicates, would've secured my purchase because there would've been a higher likelihood of getting all the commons and uncommons in a single brick, with the hope of getting a full CUR with 2 chases with the purchase of a case. I understand that you need to balance the cost of production with booster prices-- it's just a bummer that it happened with this set, especially with its comparatively low figure count. Having as many figures as Avengers 60th or Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing would've also sweetened the deal.
Again, I'm very excited by Wheels of Vengeance and finally getting all kinds of epic dials for my favorite corner of Marvel comics. I look forward to Deadpool and Weapon X and Disney+ Next Phase, and I hope for big, great things from them.
Thank you for the following figures, which I will seek to buy: PAH Ghost Rider; Ghost Rider 048; Vengeance #056; Brother Voodoo #043b; Iron Fist; Elektra; Dracula; Headless Horseman; Namor; Capwolf; and Man-Thing.
Just wished we had gotten Legacy Cards for Shuma-Gorath. Hope to see a new Zzzax; Blazing Skull; Mephisto (Red Costume); and Jack O' Lantern in a future Set.
I am very excited for this set. I am not a huge Ghost Rider or horror fan, though I loved the Ghost Racers series and Robbie in Avengers. Even though this set mainly covers a portion of the MU I am not as familiar with, I am still very excited. I am excited by the amount of generics. I am excited by the various vehicles and I am glade you did not just do motorcycles. I am excited by the thought and creativity that when into the dial design, even if the point formula is still a little off (looking at you 45 points Fire Demon). You can tell you guys had fun with this set, it shows in the power names take straight from Metal lyrics and the poster design. Mostly I am excited that we took a break from the Spidy/X-Men/Avengers rotation, and that's coming from an Avengers guy.
