We haven't had a first appearance Azrael in a long time,... or Biis or Sister Lilhy, & other Order of St. Dumas members ever.
I wouldn't mind an Iconix of these characters.
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
That might be true... We still haven't got most of the Bat-Villains from the Morrison run as well. Still I would love to see these characters. They would have to have AWESOME dials if it were an ICONIX.

Has the Order of St. Dumas really done much since the ‘90s? Kinda feels like nobody really wanted to play with them anymore after Knightfall.
The New 52 version of the Order shows up in Batman and Robin Eternal. It's awful. Ram V's Semi-recent Catwoman run had the Order appear as well, as the Penguin hires an assassin who was a former member, with ties to Jean Paul Valley's dad.
I didn't read it, but surely they must have been in the late 00s Azrael book?

Speaking of the Batman family of characters, there are some we still have never gotten. Why are characters like, Mr. Bloom, for instance, still unmade? I am not the biggest Batman fan, preferring him as a member of the Justice League over his solo books, but we need his broader depth of villains instead of the same 6 or 8 over and over again.
I was so glad to see Notorious gave us obscure - and new - villains from the Harley Quinn show like Frank the Plant, Kite Man and Golden Glider, but disappointed that the majority of Bat villains from the comics was largely a repeat of what we got in Batman Team Up. I am sure we did not need a 3rd Harley and Ivy (the SRs) from an alternate universe. Those 2 slots could have given us more variety of villains.
How do we get a deep Batman family theme without repeating the same characters?
I have this set my good sir, but this is Batman, not Azrael.
Ditto. Even though it is Azreal on the card ... like 90 percent of the Knightquest books call this character BATMAN. I would have called this character Batman with a real name of Azrael & John Paul Valley.

I am looking for the Joe Quesada designed Azrael. I specifically want the version with wrists loaded with triangle knifes on fire.

This is what I'm remembering, too. That Batman was Azrael/JPV taking the place of Bruce Wayne. Isn't this after Bruce got wrecked by Bane and was rehabilitating with Shiva? JPV took on the name Batman.
If that is so, then this is a legit Azrael. He's even called...Azrael.
Unless I'm misremembering and conflating storylines. I mean it has to have been 20+ years since I actually read those stories.
Azrael in his red Joe Q Azrael costume hasn't been clixed since COLLATERAL DAMAGE. Come on man, the dial isn't great... it would be challenging adapting those numbers with a Legacy Card.

In regards to discussion about modern Azrael stories, I can't recommend the 2022 Sword of Azrael miniseries enough. The Batman: Urban Legends issues that serve as a prologue are pretty good too.
