FlyingIcarus and Gargantua, feeling really abitious will be running a series of games, single elimination to find out which team in Heroclix is the best. Not real conclusive, admittedly, but we'll have fun.
My team for round 1 is Superman Enemies:
Maxima R 128
Brainiac 13 E 122
Lexcorp Battlesuit V 51
I hope you'll allow me the liberty of 1 point in the team, since the above is really 301.
I was going to call him game "Who' the Boss'. I like this name better. More schoolyard taunt...
To clarify a bit more to anyone who might follow this game: The idea is to come up with the best 300 point team based on the established Marvel and DC Heroclix teams. Gargantua and FlyingIcarus each choose 10 teams that will be theirs for round 1. For various reasons we eliminated the other teams.
Gargantua chose a heavily DC oriented sets of teams: JLA, Injustice Society, JSA, Titans, Superman Ally, Superman Enemy, Green Lantern Corps, Sinister Syndicate, Spider-Man and the FF.
For FlyingIcarus it's the Avengers, Defenders, Brotherhood, Masters of Evil, Minions of Doom, X-Men, Legion, Batman Ally, Batman Enemy, Mystics.
Round one will have Gargantua's 10 vs. FlyingIcarus' 10. The 10 survivors will go out to round 2. Whomever wins the most games chooses first of the 10 surviving teams (in the case of a tie we'll roll for it).
Round two will bring us down to 5. Again the winner of the last round chooses first. We will somehow need to determine how to eliminate to 4 teams which we can figure out during the game.
Round three ends with 2 teams and round 4: the finale.
Our only real rules so far: 300 point team (no less than 290 or more than 305). To avoid too big advantages of team abilities ONLY the figure with the most points can use the team ability. If that figure falls the next highest point valued figure gets it.
I'm surprised by your choice of map. I would have thought you'd have taken an indoor map to counter your lack of fliers. Well I've got one question about something you said a few posts ago. Explaining the special rules you said:

Are we limiting all of the teams this way, or only those that we talked about as having rather too much of an advantage? Either way is fine with me, I just thought we should be clear from the outset.
Argh....maybe it was a bad choice on my part; map-wise. It was on my screen for another game.
I think we should limit team ability as stated above. As for Wildcards, I think the highest member can copy the power of the other team. Lastly I feel situations where the highest attack can be used I think only the lowest point figure should be able to use the power. What do you think?
So the most expensive figure gets to use the TA, though all team members can be used for the passive role? So if Starfire's my most expensive Titan, can she be healed by other Titans, heal other Titans or both?
Nice way to give the Wildcards a chance. As for the last bit, just so we're clear, again using a concrete example, on my Sinister Syndicate team, if Vulture is my cheapest figure, he could use the AV of any of the other members, yes? Or we can play that the highest costing team member is the only on that can lend his AV? The same rule should apply to those who would share DVs as well, I think, however we decide to do it.
Yes to the Starfire example. Vulture can use the highest AV of any adjacent Syndicate member (so in this case only the LOWEST costing member can utilize the team ability). Sure same rule would apply for DV teams.
For Kang any battle was nothing less than all out war. His allies ....nothing less than pieces in a chess set only he could play. Useful as a Queen, dispensable as a pawn.
"Stand ready men and be sure to raise the killer within from your depths," Kang asserts controllingly, "The enemies of Superman are almost as legendary throughout time as the Man of Steel himself."
The air suddenly becomes frosty. Breathing is more diffuclt. The ground a sheet of ice. This is Blizzard's doing. "I'm ready for anything, Kang. Enemies of Superman or the POSTman, it doesn't make a difference to me. Let's fight!"
The Controller is the last of the Masters of Evil present. "I sense brute force in these enemies. Good," he punches into his fist, "If I can get my hands on them, I'll show them some real brute force."
Kang laughs the laugh of a great, villainous leader. As much a laugh at the bravado of his men as anything else.
In the new Ultimate set there are 4 new teams; 2 of which have enough figures to make 300 points. Should we include them? I'll let you decide. The teams are the Ultimates and the Ultimate X-Men. You know what my chocie would be...
Just to point out, Controller doesn't have Super Strength yet. (He needs to drain energy from his mind control victims first)
We can use the Ultimates if you want. Can't say I'm too much looking forward to seeing Ultimate Thor facing me from across the board, but I'm fine with including them. You'll want the Avengers, I presume. No problem I'll do the X-Men. Cyclops looks like a mean piece to play as well.
Likewise, I won't object to starting over if you want to retool your team to include Zemo. Not like we've gotten so far into this game. I'll wait for your response before I go.
I think both of the Ultimate teams look cool. Gotta admit I'm not a big fan of the Ultimates line (except for the Ultimates, Ultimate FF is also cool) so the figures are among my least favorites (haven't liked the last DC or marvel as much).
Thanks for the offer of retooling my team. I'll take you up on it actually. My desire for double pulse-wave lost out to wanting Zemo. My team is Kang E, Baron Zemo and Yellowjacket E.
Move is slightly altered. Original placement:
Kang W9
Yellowjacket W10
Baron Zemo W11
HO V11; LO S10, T12
Move:
YJ carries Kang moves to O6 ON TOP OF THE BUILDING, she's P6.
