I love comic 'wars' and team v. team battles and even long exastive (sp?) crossover 'battles', and I'd like some advice in what are some other good ones that I don't know about.

If you could also tell me the arc, or issues that the stories occur in, that'd be great. Thanks.

.....the Asgardian Wars. IMO a great story and if you can get the trade pick it up!

My favorite is "The Executioners Song" X crossover saga. It includes XMen, XForce, XFactor, Apocolypse, Mr. Sinister, the Mutant Liberation Front, The 4 Horsemen of the Apocolypse, The Dark Riders, Bishop, and Caliban.
It explains the family relationship between Scott, Jean, and Cable. And it leads to the infamous legacy virus that goes on to kill many a mutant.
Its a indulgent feast of X intensity!

Great Silver age crossovers If you can find reprints of these (check out marvel masterworks or essentials):
FF #28, FF vs the XMen
Any copy of the Wedding of Reed and Sue. Blantantly cameo's as many Silver Age Marvel characters as Possible. (Possibly FF annual #3)
FF #25-26 Thing vs Hulk, FF vs Avengers Classic.
FF # 6 , Dr. Doom tricks Sub Mariner into helping him. Early FF as fans begin to discover the alluring evil of Dr. Doom, the Noble chivalry of Sub Mariner, the mind expanding capabilities of the Fantastic Four, and the greatness of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee.
XMen #9, Not necassarily a great crossover, but it is Classic Avengers vs XMen.

How about the wedding of Reed Richards and Sue Storm?
That battle had almost every major Marvel Villian attempting to crash the party. Plus almost every Marvel hero at the time trying to stop 'em. Some great fight scenes there!

There was the 80's Mephisto Vs. series. 4 iss. LS featuring the FF, Avenger, X-Men, and X-Factor.

thanks, I think I mentioned earlier that I like/have the x-overs, but thanks for that Asgardian Wars link Candy. I also know/like/have the Mephisto Vs. Stories. I like the idea of the wedding of Reed and Sue (you say FF Annual 3?) and the other FF versus . . . , so I'll have to check those out thanks!

Can you guys think of any more? These are great starts, and that link Candy posted was hell@ cool, it almost makes me regret having all/most of the X books involed in those crossovers.

Excalibur: The Cross Time Caper

The X-Men/Micronauts limited series was kind of fun...

The Cross Time Caper took most of the first 2 years of Excalibur's run. It was basically the team running into alternate versions of themselves and other Marvel heroes, with hijinks ensuing.

It was Sliders and Exiles years before they were created. Fun with Claremont and Davis.
