Creating an appropriate place for this Units comments question:

BEYOND YOUR MORTAL CONCERNS: Thanos can't be assigned a relic or resource.

The Power Plant is assigned to all characters on your force.

The Book of the Skull is assigned to all characters on your force.

Does Thanos' trait prevent teams he is a part of from using these two resources? Please provide precedent or another form of proof for your answer.

I have wagered a Rare that the trait prevents him from being on a team with a resource like the Book of the Skull, as it assigns to the whole team.

Decoder has raised every chase he owns that you could still assign the BoS to the rest of your team.

Ok heres proof: when assigning the bots it is assigned to all characters. so say i have a team of deadpool bullseye and fantomex and thanos. ok the relic then automaticaly gets assigned to them "EXCEPT" Thanos due to his trait. if thanos is the only character left on your force HE CANNOT GAIN THE EFFECTS DUE TO HIS TRAIT" whats more to understand? Thanos haters :P His trait says "he cannot be assigned a relic or resorce" dosent say anywhere nor on the books rules others cant be assigned it if one character cant be :P case in point"

Wouldn't this follow the same precedent set by team bases and vehicles? That is, that they can't be assigned to the force at all?

no because a team base and a vehical is different than a resource dial.. they have different rules. you do know that a Tb can be assigned a relic as well "even tho it super cheap" however a vehicle is a vehicle you cant put a glove on a tank..

Same is true of vehicles and team bases. The aforementioned resources aren't allowed on teams that include said characters (even though we have been waiting a year for the vehicle okay mentioned in a wk article)

Thanos means no PP or BotS on your team. Just use the green battery and an entity or four like everyone else...

no Thanos cant be assigned a relic or a resource at all... this dosent stop others and the power battery is a relic/ resource so thats way outa line

Every team base card specifically says that it or solo'd figs cannot use relics or resources and it is restated in the rule book also mentioning vehicles.

Decoder needs to read up before posting erroneous info...

If a resource is assigned to your whole force, including a character that cannot be assigned it creates an illegal game state and cannot occur.

Again, rule book and players guide. You could save us all the time and email the rules team, but don't forget to post their response and eat crow

Has anyone asked this on the WES yet? It'd be nice to have an absolutely official ruling that says, "No. You're wrong. Your judge is wrong. Stop being ignorant." in the event that Decoder decides several people telling him the same thing isn't good enough.

Any resource that would be illegal with a team that has a team base (BotS for example) would be illegal with a team that has Thanos on it.

(assuming that is the correct wording)
