The Silver Age began with the first appearance of The Flash (Barry Allen) in Showcase #4 (1956.) If the 70's are your thing, you are more of a Bronze Age/Modern Age kind of guy.

That's funny, I thought Rebirth did a great job of showing Kyle to be the hero he is.
It showed that he was "good enough" to hang with a "great man" like Hal Jordan. Well bully for him, we knew that already. What it didn't show is how much better he is than Jordan, and how anything Jordan can do, he can do better, which until then we'd also known. He treated Kyle like a Nightwing, or a Troia rather than as a Wally West or Connor Hawke.

But again, we've already known that, he's always been immune to yellow (as has John Stewart for the past three years or so), it's no big deal.
