I think that's part of the reason I cringe when I hear people say they're willing to let a comic be delayed to abusurd lengths if the art is cool. The last time that was really touted - and people gave the artists the right to be so abusive - we found ourselves watching the whole Image creation and the mess that caused and while it kind-of eventually righted itself, I'm not eager to go down that path again (and you would think Marvel would be more careful considering what a fiasco that was for them last time).

DC started this imprint as a means to combat the sucess of Marvel's Ultimate books, but the only thing they are competing with is the lateness displayed by Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine and The Ultimates.
My theory on that one is that is that Frank's an idiot and someone at DC finally went "Wait you're writting garbage, start over". I wonder how many times he would have started over if I'm right?
No. Jim Lee took full responsability for the ASB&RTBW debacle.
He's also half a year (or more) late on the relaunched WildCATS #2.
When you're over half a year late on the much publicised relaunch of the core book of your own company, something is seriously amiss with the penciller.
Forget about All Star Batman, just get Neal Adams on fill-ins. I wants me my Morrison WildCats.
(and yes, Frank 'Batman vs. Al Quada' Miller is a bit of an idiot these days, but that's besides the point.
Where did you hear he was sick or grieving? I've been waiting to hear more about the Pitt/Darkness book, his website has a posting from September 2005 saying it's "coming soon".
I was referring to the Pitt 1st series back when Image comics was still new. I only heard that the reason for the lateness was due to a death of a family member. I also heard that he was sick and that is why he was late in his work. Anyway, that was during the 90's, I have no idea what Dale Keown is doing now or what happened to him since then.

you're wrong. Frank Miller isn't an idiot. He's a "GOD-D*MNED" idiot.
300 was quite enjoyable, though. Especially in IMAX
A lot of people really thought that the movie was great even though a lot of movie critics slammed the movie and gave a very low rating.
I am one of those who first read the comic before watching the movie and I really thought that the comic was better than the movie. Dont get me wrong, the movie was great but the comic was even better. Now I'm thinking, what if I saw the movie first before reading the book? Would I have preferred the movie over the comic format? I talked to some people who first watched the movie before reading the book and all of them say that the comic is bad.
