The attack is already happening. What happens when you modify your damage before the attack is in progress (like by picking up an object on the way over)?, the feat is no longer usable (don't worry, I checked the rules).

So you can translate "not being used" into "cancelled", but you can't interpret a simple english word? You weren't confused.
What's the deal bub?, I know you're not an idiot, so what's the point in continually calling me out? Okay, so I was wrong with my initial musing, but you're still pressing pretty hard.

It's a rules forum - why do people feel the need to slip better-than-thou-isms into the discussion?
Anyhow, the more I think about it, the more clear it is to me that the text "in effect until the end of the game" makes the intent of the Feat obvious in a way that supercedes being able to "not use" it.

Objects do not increase a character's damage value until the attack either.

As I said before, you used the word subdued which could be taken as ignored, canceled, or countered. Those three terms are all defined, so using the non-defined term of subdued IS misleading.

It isn't anything personal. I'm just reiterating the importance of using the correct terminology.
Last night one of my players tried arguing that a non-flier couldn't be knocked off of a roof because the rulebook states that grounded characters cannot be knocked back past an elevated border. His misuse of the terminology lead to confusion.

It's not a conscious effort. I'm trying to not take it personally, but my brain is still telling me that there are insults within, pride is a hard thing to let go of.
As it is I'll just say that I'm sure I'm right about the thing.

I have a off the wall question about this feat.
Since it says "Prerequisite: , Avengers team symbol" meaning that u just need the Symbol and not the TA.
If on these Skrull/Avenger figures if i use the skrull version could i still use the feat?
Since they still have the Symbol they just can't use the Ability?

No because the trait specifically says:

Yellowjacket possesses the Skrulls team symbol. He doesn't possess the Avengers team symbol.
If it said he could use the TA it would work. Thankfully it doesn't or we would have had Thunderbolted Skrull Ms. Marvels, and that would have been even more annoying than she already is.
A strict reading of the feat does allow it to be used (or not used) on an action-by-action basis, just as any normal feat. Therefore, the symbol is effectively optional.
This is fairly comic-accurate. It may or may not be overpowered for 6 points.
As for Box, I agree that he would have both the symbol as well as the symbol, just as Namora has both and . This means that Harbinger would still be able to use Fortitude when her special power Crosstime Heralds is showing, as it does not override the symbol:
