Between a group of us, 22 cases opened. Only 2 Spider-Hulks and no variant Nightcrawlers. Lots of duplicate cases.
I'm curious what SRs people are getting in their cases that have the variant Nightrcrawlers. I have a feeling some multi-case buyers are probably getting one a case. I bet they had a day or two during production that they said "we are only going to do 2 days worth of production on the variant" and then those all got packed to gather in consecutive cases.

Look I think everyone in this thread has put words in my mouth and have avoided reading the entire post about what I ultimately thought about this set.
And to come out right and insult me is just rude. I can take it but dayam people!
If I didn't think this was an awesome set I wouldn't have gotten so many damn figures. Yes I know I can trade my figures yes I know it should be "easy" as everyone says for me to get these figures yet somehow those same people don't seem to be the ones trading with me? HMMM odd don't you think? That's right put your money where your mouth is if you're going to say how "easy" it should be for me to get those figures.

I can understand why anyone would be mad after buying and opening 4 cases that they did not a least get a whole set of figures. You have a right to be mad. After all, common sense would have it that 4 cases should net you a whole set. After all that money, it could make anyone angry at what has happened.
But when people constructively told you that you can trade the figures, you seem to get defensive. I know that sometimes it is hard to trade, but you could always either sell them on e-bay or to some other online store, then purchase with trade credit the figures you want to get for your collection.
Salu Digby as LeVIathan in clix!
“I used to be a heroclix player like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.”
I try not to sound defensive. I know how the trading game goes just like anyone does hopefully. Sometimes we win, sometimes we don't. This is only my second release from the return back into this game. I went AWOL for about 2-3 years so honestly I missed the whole chasing of the chase for buying boosters.
I have completed my set minus one extra Deadpool I'd like to get, otherwise it's just older items that I'm looking into and even then it's more of a OOHH AHHH factor than a OMG OMG OMG I NEED THAT ONE RIGHT NOW!!
I have learned my lesson and already thinking of ways to avoid a snafu like this in the future. I'd like to continue to support my local venues as much as possible but also, and let's all be real sometimes money talks.
I've been very lucky that the venue where I did buy these cases from has given me great offers on other figures and other sets in the past that I've dropped quite a bit of money his way, so in turn he gets me great deals and usually first pick on the items he gets in.
I'll need to see a set list of the next set before I make a plan but I highly doubt 4 cases will be the extreme I go with.

I have been lucky in that others have not attempted to rip me off. I have something they need, I need something they have we trade SR for SR we're good. The problem is that some SR's are more sought after than others and well then you have the differences in prices. Yeah that's what with the Commons and Uncommons and Rares I can do filler so that's not bad at all.

4 cases no full set for me (I buy for self and kids). Did not pull Spider Hulk or Sandman.
I did get 2 Nightcrawler Variants.2 cases each from 2 different stores (also 2 different distributors to those stores).
I did see near duplicate bricks once (I do not remember all the gory details but same SR's in same pack lay out - i.e. Scarlet Spider rare in same pack as Bag-Man).
Looked like 1 out of 15 packs did not have a rare or so, That is guessing.
But yeah - 4 cases this set, crisis, and SI did not yield me a full set (not talking Chase figs). But it more than worked on all the other sets since the CURSR system.
Here's something else to think about...if anyone out there (whoever it was) is saying things like "after 4 or 5 or x cases, I expect to get all the SRs"
There's a SR every 3 boosters. There's 16 SRs in the set. That means you can't reasonably expect to get the full SR set until 48 boosters. That's 2.5 cases right there
*minimum*.
That's also expecting everything to be perfect. You know how hard it is to be perfect? Every SR you get that fills in your collection makes it that much harder, statistically, to get the "right" one the next time.
Say you've got 14 SRs so far, and it's the perfect spread, 14 different. The next SR you pull only has a 12.5% chance of being the right one. And if you manage to pull that longshot off (which, statistically, means you need to buy roughly 24 boosters , the next one is a 6.25% chance of being the SR you need. That could take as many as 48 boosters to pull off.
That is what is meant by the diminishing returns of blind booster buys.
If I knew there were no chase figures I would have bought the whole set on the secondary market.
But alot of those presellers are having to refund money because they barely go 1 complete set in 20 plus cases, even the big time stores are having problems making complete sets. All that does is INCREASE the price of the whole set online going forward.
Yes, in hindsight $350 for the whole set would not have been too made, but those are starting to increase to $400 now. You might be better off buying a 1-48 set for $40 and then just picking up the Super Rares you want. Most can be had for around $15, but the big dogs will cost you $30 or more, with Cosmic going around $60. The problem is you need to get these all from one or two sellers otherwise the shipping costs will eat you alive.

Without going too far off topic I'd have a HUGE problem with a seller if I preorded a full set 1-64 and then they couldn't deliver.
I am betting some sellers are taking a big hit to the wallet if they do in fact fill the orders.
That's the risk you run when you pre-sell sets.

Ok, got in my x2 cases today and was surprised as all get out. Not only were there dupe boosters, they were DUPE BRICKS, AND DUPE CASES. That's right, both my cases were exactly the same down to the figures location in each brick, row, and slot. I kept track as I opened each and here is how it played out.
