He can do at least 3 solo damage on every click if you play him with finesse (As Spidey should be played). On all but two he doesn't even need an object to do so. If you want him doing more than that, you don't really know the character. He's known for holding back his strength, even when he could die.
I have read Spider-Man for years and I would like a Spider-Man dial that's actually as good as Spider-Man is in the comics. Maybe you should go read some Spider-Man comics because while this dial does do somethings right, it is in no way a great Spider-Man dial.
Here's hoping we get a Vanilla Ice Clix in the next TMNT set.
use object tokens to get your 4 damage and then morph, there is a wide variety of impressive chases, slingers and frequencies to choose from also Peter Parker is a lover, a scientist, stuck in puberty poor, and then a warrior last even during to the ends of the earth he still gets messed up. His emotions get the best of him and even though he has spidey sense he doesn't do detective work before an incident he isn't batman he's not on a war planet, he is off inventing things and getting help from the avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D. when his life gets turned upside down. Spider-man is flawed as a warrior but it's his resourcefulness that makes up for just wanting a regular life at times. Pick up that tank turret and get to smashing.
I play tested this spidey, and while he did well enough with his hypersonic-light attack, his 2 damage top click was a big hinderance. Either give him a 3 top dial or outwit. Those of you that are justifying his low damage claim that it's because he defeats his enemies with cunning and wit, so where's the outwit? No distracting banter or special outwit like we got from the GG spidey, both of which would make perfect sense and make him closer to deffinitive. As it stands, this one came close, but still no cigar. And then there's the sculpt...they've shown that they can do some pretty spectacular sculpts with Spidey here (M10th rookie was pure eye candy), but this one is just...eh. Anyways, that's just my $.02
3 damage means that you can put a hole in a brick wall big enough to walk through with a single attack, period.
If spider-man can punch a wall one time, and then walk through the hole he just made, he should have the ability to deal 3 damage.
This particular has the ability to deal 3-4 damage on every single click through either super strength, cce. or perplex.
If you think that 3-4 damage on 100% of his clix is not enough damage for spider-man, you might be drinking too much spider-man cool-aid because even though he is able to defeat all kinds of tough villains 3-4 damage accurate to what spider man does when he attacks people.
Hi guys I have a question on how spider-man tracers power wrks it says,
"Spider-Man can use Incapacitate as if he has a range value of 6. When he does and hits, mark the hit character. Lines of fires drawn to marked characters by friendly characters are blocked only by walls and indoor blocking terrain as long as Spider-Man is on the map." That being said If i where using this spider and swap em out to Dusk but I have #39 spider-man
"miles" on the map is my spider tracers still in effect? Also if my opponent has a "spider-man" does it work the same? Thx PPL

No, anytime a character's power uses the character's name, it's referring only to itself unless otherwise stated.

So even if you where to morph him to one of the other spider-man in the armor or frequencies the effect would drop you HAVE to keep him in this form so to speak seems like to me the wording needs to be i dunno more on point! For example as long as asm024 Spider-Man is on the map would be better cause I got all kinds of lost reading his card, but thx for the help.
Today i play agaisnt this piece and well, before he grab an object, using Shocker, i blew it. Spidey 2 dmg wasn't a menace to anyone. Without indomitable, only Super Senses and the BIG problem of getting stucked in hindering, he was doomed, really, i thought he was great but he's a 2/5.
he gets an 11 attack with hypersonic, they designed him to be able to alter ego into spider armors. I really think when people lose they blame the dice or the game design. I think this spidey is a piece you do or don't have to use. I have done well with him. He also has regular tk and the spider-tracers trait and the spider-man TA. he's only 125 points. Most secondary attackers are in the same price range and they are point and hit. You want more damage use the rhino. This spider-man is versatile but not overpowered and supports his teammates who are ranged with those spider tracers.

Well it really sounds like the person playing spiderman either new to heroclix or didnt understand this spiderman... i have now played him many times and every time he has been the best fig on my side... both in sealed and construced... i have to agree with Mr. Plao... this spiderman is one of the best in the set... if you dont think so... think out side of the brick

I have to be honest, i haven't played him yet, my rating is my experience with him as an adversary, and for the points, CWFF Thor or JLFF Flash looks way better. Also, if everytime you have played this hc and he was the best fig on the table, i can say, maybe your opponent was new to heroclix and don't know how to deal with a piece with only 2 starting dmg OR you have the another Morph pieces (my oppponents never used them and maybe that's the only way to reach his potential). My only and biggest gripe agaisnt him is his dmg value, if he's knocked down and fell to the L/C clicks, without indomitable, till the time he uses CCE can be too late.
Having now played him a few times I can say he is a 3.5 star character(Not using the morph). With the morph ability he is a solid 4. The problem is all in the damage values. It makes him rely on objects to do any real damage, that's just not Spidey. If a 12 year old in short pants gets a 3 damage value, then Spider-Man should easily have that. Especially since he has 0 range, the doing too much damage from range argument can't be made with this character. Lastly, if the incapacitate power worked with his hypersonic, that would have also made him a 4-5 star character on his own.
I was considering putting this guy on a team for next weekend, but now that I'm looking at him again, I can't get around those 1's and 2's for damage. I mean really, nothing better than a printed 2 damage across his whole dial, with half his dial being a 1 printed...? This isn't Pepper Potts or Maria Hill, after all. No, that's silly because then he'd have some printed 4's and 3's just like Pepper Potts from IM3!
I feel your pain Jimmyboy. I really, really WANT to like this piece - his power placement is perfect for Spider-man in my opinion - but I just can't justify 125 points with his low damage output and the lack of willpower. I have tried to build around this piece on multiple occasions and he's always disappointed.
