Did one of the host really say "...nobody ever teams up with Doom" in reference to the 'minion of doom' TA? Well its a very inaccurate statement. Doom has probably had more super villian/hero team ups than spider-man. Doom even forced himself to work with Kang the conquer during infinity war. Doom commanded a team during the entirety of the Secret Wars.He worked with molecule man, absorbing man,the wreckers and even empowered Titania and Vol. Doom teamed up with Iron man on multiple occasions. Heck doom was a factor in the last chance to save the universe from thanos and the infinity gauntlet. Doom was working with hated rivals such as the xmen, alpha flight, the avengers, Doc strange. Doom and doctor strange explored a mystical tournament together. While doom was trying to usurp Kristoff and reclaim his land, doom worked with the Rhino, hobgoblin and several other villians. During secret wars Ultron was dooms personal body guard which would explain why there is an ultron figure with the TA. Doom and ironman traveled through time together fighting knights from the past and robots from the future.
Im not certain....but im pretty sure that the Minions of Doom TA (ignoring the original alternate ATA) was based soley on the fact that Doom has worked with a multitude of hired henchmen and agents. It is a very comic accurate Team ability.

Yeah, I said it. I do not see his TeamUps as "TeamUps". They are always in the end to his benefit and he usually has plans to screw his team members over...therefore for the sake of "teamwork" I don't see him as a team player. Best teamup ever though would be Magneto...they despise each other.
But yeah hes teamed up a lot, hell he's probably teamed up with everyone but the punisher at one point or another.
The clix that have revert have no better chance of having their revert-e clix than any other clix. They do not program that packs to be like that, it is random.

All true, but on the point of ATAs, there is no keyword that would represent any of those team ups. They are one off occurrences.
While Doom teams up with other characters often, he doesn't regularly team up with anyone. So no named keyword, and hence no ATA, will ever be able to represent those team ups.

How do you know? Do you work for WizKids? Can you say this with any amount of certainty?
I can't say that I know it was planned that way, but after seeing 12 packs opened I can say for sure that I saw it happen at least three times locally. Seems to me that there could be some truth to be had there.
They've done pre-matched packs before. Dc75 had Beast Boy packs, Captain America had Secret Warriors packs, Superman had Reign of the Supermen and Kryptonite packs, etc.
People have pointed out pre-built packs in many sets. If I'm not mistaken, distribution was changed a while back to better guarantee a CUR in a case. They do this with a limited number of distribution patterns
This could also explain the "geographic" nature of some SRs and Chases, and would certainly explain why duplicate bricks, cases, and boosters occur.
I see no reason to believe that Reverts can't come deliberately packaged together at least some of the time...

But you don't NEED a named keyword, you just need restrictions that line up with Doom. The new GCPD ATA shows how its done. Like, say, requires Ruler keyword and either the Minions of Doom TA or Doom in the name [so that any Doom named Ruler can use it, or any Minion of Doom that is a Ruler can use it]. It would also allow him to either copy multiple TAs at once or do something wonky like copy an uncopyable ATA...because when you work with Doom, YOU are the minion.

So you want an ATA that could only ever be assigned to Dr. Doom?

I doubt WizKids would do that.
Geez, it's like a trend that never goes out of style. You give me a statement along the lines of can't/won't, I give you one example of how it could be done, and instead of taking the point you continue to be negative about it. Shenanigans has been called, sir. But, hey, let's ignore ATAs based on generic keywords, or the fact that multiple requirements now exist that aren't actually keyword based, or that ATAs are doing things in the realm of special powers which open up things like something even you should consider feasible: an ATA that requires a version of Doom to be included in your initial build but applies to all figures in the build regardless of keyword or TA. Or that is exactly what you're objecting to: it's assigned to Doom specifically, but grants a benefit to the entire team regardless (as long as Doom is alive, only after Doom dies, regardless of whether Doom is on the map, endless possibilities). Give me a few hours and I could give fully fleshed out examples based on whatever you want.

I see where you are going, and I like it.
And for the record, I am generally a very positive person.

I know, I'm just giving you a hard time Speaking of ATAs, though, I agree the massive release is a lot to take in. I wouldn't say 'too much of a good thing', because SoG loves the release a lot and things like the Legion of Monsters ATA are great stuff, but it's definitely a lot all at once. Arkham Asylum is going to find excuses to get used (because it's zany and fun). I am glad that instead of lagging behind the releases that it includes Teen Titans! Now I just need to get my hands on the new Fearsome Five...

They could drop cost and deny access to the wild card ability ala Nova corps.
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
You could always just look at all the minions of doom who have "certain" keywords and pick the keyword that fits the best in the most instances and use that for the basis of the ATA and then just include in the keyworded wording, "If a character named Dr. Doom is on your force "Define what the ATA is" and this ATA is only copyable by Dr.Doom."
