Your "buddy" is not the only one that hates it. Resources are a slap in the face of any Honor driven respectable gamer. Its OVERkill with an UNDERCOSTED point value. For now on when I see a resource, my opponent will see my Chanos. Im going to nip the resource dial turning in the butt early on...just teleport the tentpole with a resource and destroy him. Thanos will most likely be hurt or killed as the two highest point characters are staring him down....but after all is said and done, when all three tentpole are dead and the resource negated.....then and only then will the true match begin.
I love people like this, makes me laugh. as for brainiac he's a beast but he really starts to shine in 600+ games where he can get some serious support. as for throwing resources on him I think the book Will be killer with him.
well, we dont know all the hammers yet, but if Angrir's Hammer gives Regeneration as the figure seems to imply, then its a no-Brainer (get it?). Being able to regenerate back to the clix of that ridiculous impervious if your opponent manages to actually harm him past em is just gross. Ive seen it done with a IG'ed Brainy, and if he reached SP 2 or 3 of the glove, he was nigh unkillable due to regeneration.
Would penetrating poison, like the new Larfleeze's special power, get past those uber imperv clicks?
ANY penetrating ability would ignore his impervious. But you would still only beable to do one damage. He must stop with every click...not even pulsewave can get past his defense.

You know......after seeing my Chaos war Kang get obliterated in one turn by a team base, I have come to a conclusion that brainiac here is one of a hand full of figures that can actually TAKE a full on working together attack barrage! He can probably take it the next turn too, landing on his first click of the 175 point dial. This guy is sick. If only he didn't have to waste his first use of the defense special on that activation click.
"OK. This is going to be the official response and hopefully I word this in a way that does not upset anyone.
From here on in. When a Special Power says it can't be ignored, it refers to the entire power AND any game effects granted within it.
In the case of Dynamic Duo and "THE BIGGER THEY ARE, ROBIN...:", the Super Senses granted by the SP would not be ignored by Pulse Wave. This means that if they were attacked by Pulse Wave, they would get to roll for Super Senses.
This will not be updated in the PG as the previous "ruling" was incorrect and was not actually supported by the rulebook or the PG.
This is how similar powers will be ruled henceforth."
So does this mean that Pulse Wave would not ignore Braniac's chance to roll for Impervious, meaning that he WOULD be able to roll for impervious?

That's exactly what it means.

I've got agree with department h this piece is nuts his defense is balance I tried him out with full ig kept the steal energy clicks till I got cracked good but had hit 2 on the ig chose flurry and used the ship and I... power to clean house first game I underestimated it later I learned how useful it can be to screw up the plans of a barrage army trying to swarm him use the power(works with ew) to get behind them while using their own click to block lines of fire steal energy makes him a bigger headache
I will always remember when we were playing Friday night clix with our local club and there was 10 minutes left on the clock and I had just gotten Brainiac outside his SP defense clicks and P/B his arse for 7 clicks from my new WatX Warlock. It was good night Brainiac.
