We are reading too much into this. Unless you roll a double, the Hulk lives on. All damage is ignored. The rule book onlines the basic rules of the game and special rules (on the characters' card) overrides the rules.
So, Poison, Knockback, Mystics, etc.. is ignored because it is damage--period..end of story.
He does take damage from Mystics, as it is UNAVOIDABLE damage. The same also occurs if Hulk rolls a critical miss, as it is a point of UNAVOIDABLE damage. He could also have his Indomitable outwit'd and thus lead him to possibly take pushing damage, which would also kill him off. I've been at odds with a guy in our play group for a few weeks now because he used Nul to revert over to this Hulk, like I outlined below would start happening, and my Enchantress killed him off because she was Mystics and dealt the one point of damage. He has been trying and trying to make it out that it would be ignored, but in plain print under the Final Word from the rules arbitrators at Wizkids (located below the special powers portion on this page), they specifically state that those two instances would deal damage to him because they are UNAVOIDABLE damage. Also, if you somehow have a piece that can make it to where a character "can't use" or "is unable to use" or some kind of wording that isn't "countered" or "ignored", it would mean that Hulk could not use Limitless Rage for that attack.
No sorry because Precision reads it can't Evaded and/or Reduced past 1 damage his Power Ignores Damage not Reducing it or Evading, but it well go throw the Toughness :)
So, I can't enter the Final Word's thread for some reason. Can this guy take or not take Pushing/Incap/Mystic dmg?
Final Word has ben restructured and is as such closed at the moment.
I may very well be mistaken, but I believe he does indeed take mystics and pushing damage, but not Mastermind or pulse wave (unless the pulse wave attack roll is doubles)
I was curious if anyone had ever thought to AE to this guy ASAP and use him on a team with someone with the Offenders ATA? I'm pretty sure you could do it and only a critical miss would miss the target he is adjacent to.
Waiting for the fact of no Jimmy Olsen or Krypto in the Superman set to finally sink in.
