None the less, it's still a good distinction to make, because superficially it does look like the Zuvembie is replacing the opposing character, but to the game it actually isn't.
Ultron is my "put pieces on the board" figure of choice. As far as mind controlling and getting your opponent's figures, brother voodoo is hilarious against blackheart. I had his little gargoyles pecking at him all game.
There may be another, but I can't think of one offhand.
Question with the Hydra Minion, could you not just reuse the same Hydra Agent? (Unless you're mind controlling it and somehow make it kill himself. One way I can think of is using the Kryptonite that allows Mind Control and MC a target over 100 points)
ZOMBIE PLAGUE: When Zuvembie KO's an opposing character with an attack, you may place a ASM #006 Zuvembie in its square and add it to your force.
This came up today. With Brother Voodoo, I mind controlled one of his Zuvembie's to KO another. I missed the attack (Zuvembie on Zuvembie), but if I would have hit the attack to KO his other Zuvembie, I would have gotten the new Zuvembie through the Zombie Plague attack power because Zuvembie was friendly to me and made a KO? This is what I understood through this thread. Am I correct?
Further, if I were to hit one of my opponents characters before Mind Controlling his Zuvembie to attack the other Zuvembie in the scenario above, would I benefit from this:
THE SCENT OF BLOOD: If an opposing character has taken damage this turn, modify Zuvembie's attack, speed, and damage values by +1.
Technically, the Zuvembie is now on my force when I MC it. And, I hit one of my opponents characters before I made the MC. An opposing character took damage this turn. But I can see where it gets messy because my opponents Zuvembie was not on my force when the damage this turn happened. Any ideas? I'm leaning towards yes, I'd gain The Scent Of Blood Trait benefit if I were to Mind Control a Zuvembie after I do damage in my turn.
1. Yes, you would get a zuvembie. However as stated in the thread you would likely need to have your own zuvembie fig available as your opponent is under no obligation to lend you one.
2. The mind controlled Zuvembie would be able to take advantage of "Scent of Blood". It's a continual check rather than a triggered event. Has an opposing character taken damage this turn then zuvembie gets +1 on attack, speed and damage. And during the MC your opponents other, unaffected, characters will be opposing to zuvembie and if any of them has taken damage previously in the turn they will satisfy the check in "Scent of Blood".
