Have to disagree with Tidge. Cyclops is one of my favorite X-Men, but his character is constantly assassinated with impunity. He’s got that first born child chip on his shoulder but it’s hard to argue that he’s not the most important member of the team, whether you like his personality or not.
I think the cheap Magik is the bees knees. I won several ROC’s with New Mutants team base popping off Illyana and carrying Magma to the other starting area. This dial does that at less than a quarter of the price. She will be my go to version since I’m not really a fan of the character post-legacy virus revival anyways.
If that Cyke had an 8 range we would be having a different conversation right now.
The Fury is my biggest disappointment in a long time in the ‘do they even know this guy’ department. The Alan Moore figs are my top wants and I’m pretty underwhelmed but I’ll say more on that once we get there.
I like the new Iceman but legacy carding the SR really steals his thunder…err..ice cream.

Any excuse to abandon your wife and child to go creep on your resurrected girlfriend, amiright?
As near as I can tell, because of his childhood abandonment and later adoption by Charles Xavier, Scott Summer felt simultaneously a pathological shame and kama for people who could know his deepest desires without him having to consciously or outwardly express his psychosexual torment. This manifested itself as a sort of mental cafuné, so ultimately I'm not at all surprised that it manifested itself with his killing of Xavier.
I don't see it so much as parricide or regicide, but rather the brutal elimination of not just a rival for the mental attentions of others that Cyclops felt the need to possess (Jean Grey aka Phoenix) but possibly an out-pouring of his own homoerotic frustration at his inability to know himself. I suspect the troika with Jean and Logan is the only thing keeping him sane in the HoX era. Colleen Wing was lucky to get away from that dude.
So essentially he’s addicted to sex and telepathy. Hard to argue against that. His embrace of the PF after the trauma it had brought him previously was more of my problem with the storyline and killing Chuck was just the result. It still doesn’t mean writers don’t go out of their way to make him unlikable. 60 years of storytelling and he gets dunked on more than any other to my knowledge. I think they just went too far when trying to break free from his goody two shoes persona of the Silver-Bronze Age.
He kind of peaks between Morrison and Whedon, and I hate saying that. But the hyper confident “I number my plans because lettering them implies they max out at 26” Cyclops is a dude I honestly love. Maybe that was Fraction? Anyway.
I didn’t mind him killing Chuck when possessed by Dark Pheonix. I mean, A. That’s not gonna last and B. DF does nasty things. He was 100% right to kick the Avengers off his lawn at the start of AvX tho.
