It was a great X book that while it featured a very heavy LGBT cast, it was done right where the point of the book wasn't about them being LGBT it was just who they were.

hey to be fair, the showrunner did say they almost put him in the show until they realized they wanted to save him for later so there's still hope for him yet! Apparently initially his appearance was to be a cameo but they decided they wanted him to actually have a good spot.

Hopefully Season 2 is great.
Putting it nicely, I was severely underwhelmed by Season 1.
At some points I was baffled by how poorly the writers managed to adapt the elements they chose to include. I'm all for an adaptation changing elements to improve on the original material, but just about every change they made was for the worse.

Still eyeing the MK figures included in the next D+ set.

Insight
First off I’m hesitant on assigning sexuality to historical figures unaware of the social construct as it goes against zeitgeist, but the evidence is what it is. Edward the Second paints the protagonist and Pierce Gaveston as star crossed lovers unjustly persecuted, not a common view among his contemporaries and centuries ahead of its time. Kit Marlowe was accused (posthumously?) of ‘Sins of Sodom’ but the credibility of his accusers is weak. Regardless, we know through written correspondence he was a spy for Elizabeth’s Master of Spies, Lord Walsingham, and likely faked his own death. This one proliferated blank verse before Shakespeare, and Doctor Faustus in particular has inspired a slew of comic characters namely Spawn and Mephisto(pheles). Whether he was same sex attracted or just an ally I count him part of the community.
