Well, if you're gonna go with a snake theme, might as well go big. Real big.
This specific iteration of Jafar occupies a very small amount of screen time in Aladdin, but his impact in that little bit of time was undeniable. He was raw, unfettered mystical power. Unbeatable by our heroes except through manipulation of his ego.
So yeah, while this guy is nasty powerful and with a cost to boot, he doesn't have the Cosmic Power team ability like someone his power level might have. After all, Outwitting him is probably the only chance you have of beating him.
He's wished himself to be the most powerful sorcerer in the world, so that wish is going to make other magic users less powerful, even if they're on his team. And with his maliciousness now completely unveiled, he doesn't need to rely on subterfuge and manipulation like an earlier iteration of Jafar would (I'm imagining a lot of Stealth, Sidestep, Mind Control, Mastermind, Outwit, and Perplex on non-powered Jafar, with maybe some Shape Change). He can fly in, blast the opposition, or bend them to his will and make them attack each other before suffering for his intrusion.
However, take him down enough pegs and he'll show you just how snakelike he can be, switching from range blasts to sheer brute animalistic strength and rage.

After seeing the first entry, I started thinking about all of my favorite Cobra action figures from my childhood. Then, decided not to do any of them, and instead, went with this guy. He is the primary antagonist in the animated film: G.I. Joe: the Movie. Voiced by Burgess Merideth. Which pretty much makes him the best part of that movie.

The Sssssmeexxxy SSssnake woman of the X-men who's name they had to change due to the obvious drug reference. She's agile and can manipulate pheromones to make people love her and with a simple touch they can...well you know... She ran a brothel, joined the xmen for a bit, had a thing for Angel, then called out Husk for having a crush on Angel by pointing out her daisy dukes and that she could see pheromones (also she was like 16 and Warren was a full grown adult).
Got depowered in M-day, so she joined the tech based run of the New Warriors for a minute with Jubilee Chamber and Beak for a minute. She got her powers back, and helps run a support group on Krakoa with Nightcrawler for mutants that looks like strange but thats the most we seen from her in over 10 years.

I mean, the look, the name, the powers. . . U could tell me she was created by an edgy late 90s early 2000s Teen and I would believe you.
She's one of those instances where if she'd been helmed by someone who knew what they were doing with the character would have become an icon, but when she's played for laughs or the obvious "Mr. Writer, how do you write women so well" approval-bait, it goes from bad to worse.
I also want to chime in to say how cool the original Stargate was, and while I've never watched the spinoffs, I've always dug the aesthetics.

I'm really glad you mentioned his G.I.Joe stuff. He really is the gold standard. That post was a nice reminder of how much fun Creation Corner was(and still is). Thanks for that.
