With the launch of 4th Ed of D&D I discovered that Wotc Was trying to implement a online game table to play D&D online like you would with a local group. I asked in the Fantasy League thread who might be interested on playing online and where we could for free, the Wotc game table will have a cost associated with it, once they get it launched.
Rather than play here lets use this as a recruitment thread, the persons listed below have expressed some interest in playing D&D online - either thru the Wotc game table when it is released or thru another online site or service which are listed below the players. If your name is on list then you are not committed to anything at all you are just someone who might like to play. In order to get this thing off the ground we need some DM's I figure we have enough people interested that both 3/3.5 and 4th campaigns could be played

hmmmm....9 of us, eh? That's a rather large group. Should be interesting
But yeah, this could get really really muddled if a whole lot of people are interested. I mean, it's a game designed for 4 players (not sure about 4E though...). It's a simple enough fix, but it may be a good idea to attempt a contingency plan of 2 simultaneous groups (possibly 1 good, 1 evil!) that run in the same game.
Just a thought

Yea that is what I was thinking, we could run two groups and the nice thing with extra people is, that not everyone has to play every time, and hopefully we can get a few DM's and that way the DM's can play too

Always a good idea. If I ever get my books, I'd be interested...

You know, I might not have time to actually do this, but since you're already maxed, I'd love to do special guest appearances when I can. Please note, I've never actually played D&D before and would most likely need a ton of hand holding if I actually do play.

If we play 3.5 I'd be happy to DM. I don't have a bag of tricks for 4E yet, and it is so fundamentally different from 3E I don't think I could do as good of a job, so I'd rather just play 4E.
Also we might have to get a couple of groups going, since 4 is standard and 6 (I personally think) is ideal. I could easily accomadate 8 players into a group, but I'd have to draw the line at 10 players to DM for. Sessions would be strained, and I'd have to throw you guys up against some brutal oponents just to keep it interesting.

I am really looking forward to this. I hope my Schedule permits. I haven't played DnD for almost 14 years and last time I played it was Advanced DnD. so 3rd. 3.5 4th edition rules are new to me.
Is there any place I can look and see the changes..... from 2nd to 3rd and up?

Actually 10. I expressed interest yesterday in the League thread before I was off to work and PMed Stepp when I got back.
I like the idea of a good and bad team....mwahahahaha!
I would LOVE to play, but I don't know if I have the time, or meet the requirements. I don't even know how to play online.

Y'know, if this gets too big, we could always get 'creative' with it....
Maybe on our first adventure, we get mysteriously bonded together! So whereas there are 12 'souls' of characters, theres only 6 bodies for them to inhabit....so if someone's busy one day, it's fine, their persona just won't 'come up'
Or yeah, we could do multiple groups. And then we can have group fights

I hoenstly doubt that any of that would factor in I sincerely doubt that we're going to get a perfect schedule. We'll get 1-3 DMs, and then it'll be their call as to when we have the games, as to what hours and such.
Hopefully, you'll be able to fit into one of those slots (this is how i'm assuming it'll go down).
I don't think any of us know how to play online either. This is 90% a figure it out as we go kinda thing
