Are there teams or figures in general that stand out as good candidates for the Power Plant? I just got one that's only missing the black ring and would like to try it out in tomorrow's 300 point game.

Supreme Intelligence + Flame Blast Ring

electroblast on balls of fury is REALLY annoying to verse.

... is just brutal

I think something like:

NFAoS Blackwing
AvAs Whirlwind
AoU Grim Reaper

Would make for a more interesting team. You have a Masters of Evil theme, with everyone having the TA so you can keep pushing if you want to keep rings out.

You also have enough range to make use of Flame Blast and Electro Blast without locking yourself into a ranged strategy.

Also, who really wants to play SI with a ring to make him cheesier and 22 Loan Harper pogs to keep it from being based ;p

I would - but our FLGS events all say "no colossal figures" and many events say "no resources". So I "haven't yet had the pleasure" of being "that guy".

I'm usually "that guy" in my group, lol. But only for like one game then I'll play more "fair" teams. So it looks like range helps the most, correct? Has anyone ever pulled off the disintegration beam against a resource, that is my ultimate goal.

It might sound odd at first, but Tiamat is very dangerous with the Power Plant. He just keeps stacking rings every turn as he murders everyone. Perpetual stealth and smoke cloud, incap then barrier people in if he can't outright murder them, burn rings for stats or Outwit, and you can grant him flight to help out if anyone picks a map with lots of hindering or elevation.

War Machine Prime seems to be a good candidate for at least the Flame Blast, Impact Beam, Electro Blast, and White Light rings.

Ok so here is the thing right before now power plant was still really good however nighthawk prime has kind of ruined any chance that power plant is still competitive or good. It may be good at your home store like it is at mine because no one has nighhawk prime but he makes the power plant at least 50% worse just by existing.

Not really. Stat boosts from draining rings is nice but the Power Plant's main use is for powers. Stat boosts and outwit are just icing on the cake.

While I personally have never done it, I've seen it. destroyed a green battery. Needless to say he won that match. (That was with Nick "Balls" Fury on the black lantern map and a shield team around him upping his range to max I hate that Fury!)
