As always, your strategy for this team is based on how your opponent lines up his troops. My favorite way to play is to keep Batman relatively close to Flash at all times to outwit Wally's target's defense. Meanwhile, Steel and GL can take turns blasting away at their targets.
Seriously, I think it's a decent line up. My only problem would be that you only have four figs. In 300 point teams, I like to fit in at LEAST five, if I can. However, Bats, Flash, and Steel are all solid figs, and GL isn't bad.
That's all I have to offer. I'm horrible with team-critiques. Sorry.
nah, its cool. You're right about the four figure thing. Thats why I mentioned it's something I like to use in friendly battles. I would never walk into a tourney with this team.
Hey, it's a fun theme, and while you'll have to try hard to keep pushing it's certainly mobile!
That Steel can hit Stealthed figs from range is a big asset, but like Flash's HSS, GL's TK & TA, and Batman's Stealth/LC/Outwit/Willpower bag of tricks, it's obvious.
This is the type of team I'd like to play against a DC villains team to keep the theme in place. If you can convince the other player to build his 300 pt rougues team from 4 figures, too, all the better. (A friend and I did that in a Marvel context, creating "new" Fantastic and Frightful Fours using other heroes and villains.)
are any of those figs JLA besides flash? batman is batman ally, Steel is a superman ally, flash is JLA, and GL is a GL team member. so yeah if your actually trying to play a JLA team u might want to get rid of 3/4 of your team and replace them with JLA figures.
Die for Darkseid and Darkseid will live for you!!!
I'm well aware that Flash is my only JLAer. I should have called it Poor Man's Justice League, so no one would think I was trying to make a JLA team. I like the fact that these guys all have their own team abilities. They are better suited by them. I mean who actually thinks Batman is better with the JLA ability than with the Batman ability?
Since Batman has willpower he's really one and a half figures. If you dropped Green Lantern and added a Firestorm - R you could aqueeze in one more support type figure. This would also help you with tempo.

I've never understood this variety of nit-picking.
I'd feel free to drop an E Iceman on an X-Men team, or an E Magneto on a Brotherhood team or an E Beast on an Avengers team. Insisting on using only the version with that distinct team logo in most instances strikes me as silly, especially in this instance where the ones who don't have it get it at higher, more powerful levels. I could understand someone being bothered about putting a V Scarlet Witch on a Brotherhood team, since she was only with them when she was at her earliest, weakest point, but this JLA objection strikes me as petty.

Your thoughts?
Do you plan to bring Steel around by Green Latern? If so.. it is illegal. Sorry my friend
Everyday is special to me. Remember that it is all up to you make it special.
Hey man, great idea for your team, Spideyfan! I applaud you for thinking outside the box and making your team with what you want, rather than what everyone else seems to think should be there. Of course your team has holes in it... you even said so yourself! But working around it's weaknesses and making the most of it's strengths is what this game is all about. Me, I'd worry about Rookie Steel's relatively low defense and the fact that once he takes even one click of damage, whether pushed or attacked, he loses all his powers. The only reason I ever use him is because of his Superman Ally ability... for 66 pts., he's the lowest point figure with that team ability. He's great to have on a team with Wildcards, often referred to as a "Batman Buster."
One other thing I'd worry about with your team is their relatively low Attack Values. I don't have my figs in front of me, but I think with that line-up, a 9 is the best you've got going for you, right? That means, if you're going up against other 300 pt. teams, you may face some figures with 17 defenses or so, and Bat's Outwit won't change that number. You would need 10's to hit a 17, and that's when you're still fresh. If you don't need Steel's team ability, I'd put in Green Arrow instead, either Veteran or Experienced... if you put in the blue-ring GA, then you might just have enough points to add another member, like Robin (if you like the SuperFriends idea), or some Support-powered characters/medics. Also, Green Arrow could either be TK'd into a Stealthy vantage point, or flown in, via Green Lantern's flight or Phasing power. True, Steel could be TK'd in too, but he doesn't have any Stealth power to keep him from being targeted.
Just a thought, since you asked how we like it. Me, I love it... in my friendly games, we almost always invariably play themes over power, and when building theme-Teams, we pay attention to what-figure-fits best-where, not who-has-the-same-icon-on-the-back-of-their-dial.
p.s. On a side note, the last tourney I played at was a 200-pt. Marvel only venue, and the winner was a player who played a theme-team... early Avengers. He had Captain America, a Vulture repainted to look like the Falcon, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch. I don't remember which versions he had of which heroes, but only a couple were their Avengers team versions, and he still won three out of three battles. There's something to be said for that.
I love the team. Its not bad at all when playing friendly games. I have built one a while ago kind of like yours and I agree fully with you Batman dose a lot better with his team ability then the JLA one. At least everyone on your team was part of the JLA so good job on a fun team.
I want to create the original 7 JLA, and was wondering if there was any hope of doing that in a 300-400 point tourney. They all MUST have the JLA TA (tourney house-rule) and I woud like the following people to be on it:
Batman
Superman
Wonderwoman
Plastic Man
Green Lantern
Aquaman
Flash

You're kidding right?
Superman is 219 points
Wonder Woman 109 for her experienced (126 for V)
Green Lantern is 98
Also, you forgot Martian Manhunter who was an original member of the JLA, and not Plastic Man
