NOTES
Just as in the 1980s we still get previews of upcoming figures. The most recent preview as of this post includes unused prototype Snake Men from the 80s along with fan creations and original characters (love the eclectic flare). Nepthu becoming Pythonus is cannon from his Classics bio so logical remake but the new Snake Men are bound to either flesh out their Preternia era (Lady Slither) or reveal any survivors from the Second Ultimate Battleground. Either way it’s nice to flesh out the faction.

Reptilax was a background character in the final mini-comic of the original MoTU line. Name dropped on Camo Khan’s bio as the leader of the Diabolical Snakes after Khan’s defeat, they allied with Lady Slither during the Second Ultimate Battleground.

TRIVIA
In King Hiss’ mini comic we get an origin involving his rise to power as a conqueror. Surrounded completely by Snake Men with the sole exception being a scantily clad woman (totally not Leia) in panel 2, it was never explained why one human remained in his court. Some have theorized (me mainly) that she would have been a priestess to The Goddess that reconciled that her deity and Serpos were one and the same (as was eventually retconned anyway). Where Hiss conquered she would convert until they were all hurled into another dimension by the Council of Elders. If they all came back it’s safe to assume Mistress (emphasis on the ss) would be among them.

Each week a player chooses their faction: Castle Grayskull or Snake Mountain. Players are given a participation prize corresponding with their chosen faction. Each faction winner gets the prize at the end of each week and the player with the most weekly wins gets the Grand Prize at conclusion.
