Trying to dial 16 characters at once is tough enough. Trying to make sure they are all in a somewhat level playing field and the exact same point value is a whole new level. Let me know if you think any are over or under powered in comparison to the others. I imagine their sculpts to be with each Lover painted normally with their Zeus incarnation juxtaposed with translucent plastic (a la Rayden Marz or Sins). Io would be mid-cow transformation like Beast Boy and Majestic Zeus would be a cloud with lightning about to consume Semele.

I think each one has a special niche that it fits with their corresponding heirs or as a group. It would certainly be an interesting way to spend 200 points. Gonna need a lot of Leadership to pull off effectively there.

The other thing I really like is how Zeus just vanishes once he's done his deed, like he was never there to begin with. It's very myth-inspiring, yet not quite as brutal as the Clark Kent/Superman from SMWW that inspired the design. I figured the beef of that figure was worth an extra 30 points which is why I settled on 25 (and because MATH). I was most concerned with Antiope because that defense power is pretty bonkers, however she does no damage whatsoever and the Satyr has the lowest damage potential of the pogs on its own. I was initially only going to do Europa but when I got to the White Bull I was reminded of how often Zeus took different forms for seduction, or deception. Interesting how bestiality was so accepted, and that Callisto thought she was mating with Artemis...wonder when she figured that out...

Back on topic, Majestic Zeus is designed to kill Semele unless you can tactically work around it and besides Io each Lover can aid their pog in some form or fashion. It's pretty cool when I can't pick my favorite and that's where I'm at with these ladies.

Dear Zeus, rename that to Shower of Gold, not Golden Shower...

This is an overall solid dial I'm looking at. I really can see myself playing the 15pt version and just using that defend to make my army of Spartans even more devastating. Especially when they get to late dial. This does raise a question though that we haven't asked. Can the gods be equipped to ANY friendly character? Even another God? Can you equip multiple gods to one unit? Even a god? Can you equip gods to giant sized pieces like the Hydra and the Titans?

These are rules we will have to decide on.

I know these dials aren't finished yet but I just want to acknowledge how genius this idea is for Chases. I LOVE it.

When the set is complete then we will have to give rarities to each of the figures and number them. (For example, I feel that all the generic warrior pieces should be commons). But this is something we don't have to worry about for awhile yet.

Also, we will have to start researching miniatures that can be used for these characters that don't have a mythic battles miniature coming out this December. I have already found one for Alexander the Great that I will post below.

Equip rules stay standard size characters only and are KO'd when another item would be equipped.

Ok. So no special ruling for it. So in theory Aphrodite can be equipped to the Graeae or Medusa because they are standard sized. I'm just touching base about the intent and the consistency of the set. (I have no problem with gods equipping to standard sized monsters. I actually like the idea.)
