Movement: Elevated Last Of His Pod Row: Sidestep, Willpower. If there are no friendly characters, modify Prophet with a Tail's values by +1. The Mission Has Changed: At the end of each of your turns, deal Prophet with a Tail 1 penetrating damage. // POWER: Turn Prophet with a Tail to click #1 and he loses this trait for the rest of the game. You can only activate this trait if he occupies an opponents starting area. Well Supplied: Blades/Claws/Fangs // FREE: Choose an standard Attack power. Prophet with a Tail can use that power until the end of turn.
Third Place! Nite-Owl II by NeverEnoughDakka. It bugs me that the Watchmen were represented in this game only by way of a movie that somehow, despite slavishly recreating the comic in many ways, still managed to get it all wrong. That you’ve chosen the comic, and that his stats feel appropriate to what comic Nite-Owl was capable of (he wasn’t nearly as badass as Snyder made him out to be), really speak to me here. Nice work.
Second! Elsa Bloodstone by LostGaladorian. Elsa’s the little semi-obscure character who can. Despite not being particularly prominent, she keeps showing up, many times in very unexpected places (not a single one of us expected her to make the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 roster, and yet she did). She hasn’t shown up enough in this game, and this would be a damn fine way to get her back into it. Has she had a single appearance since Giant-Size X-Men?
First! Monster in the Lightning by Shadesmar. I normally don’t care much for horror reimaginings of superheroes, but this one, like Darkhold Iron Man, strikes me as particularly gruesome and clever. I can picture this with a particularly unsettling sculpt, and the way certain powers work together to make something way more dangerous than its stats suggest is commendable.
HM: Hatman by Buckwheat. Can’t say he’s worth 75 points (he certainly would have been a decade ago), but I love the ideas in this dial.
ASK ME ONCE I’LL ANSWER TWICE JUST WHAT I KNOW I’LL TELL BECAUSE I WANNA!
SOUND DEVICE AND LOTS OF ICE I'LL SPELL MY NAME OUT LOUD BECAUSE I WANNA!
HM: Hatman by Buckwheat. Can’t say he’s worth 75 points (he certainly would have been a decade ago), but I love the ideas in this dial.
Don't sleep on , my friend!
I don't think that we've ever seen a non-[MAX: 1] Autonomous character that's mobile (HSS//Underworld) and can deal significant damage (B/C/F). Let alone one that is generated and only 5 points.
On the subject of not enough people voting, I've always felt that votes for you should only count if you voted that round.
IMO, that's not a big enough problem to warrant the hassle of policing the votes—ensuring that all 20+ contestants voted, and striking off the votes received by those that didn't. Also, I think that it's better for someone to not vote than to vote carelessly, i.e.: randomly assigning votes—or even dishonestely, i.e.: waiting until the end of the voting phase to vote for the contestants with the lowest scores, to throw the contest.
^I’ve been around long enough to remember when only 3 people were allowed to vote. (Dial H)
When I co-took over afterwards you had to PM votes to prevent what Buckwheat’s calling dishonest voting (albeit theoretically impossible outside of fraud/multi-voting). We rotated hosting duties and everyone brought something new to keep it easier on the moderator. That included public voting and multi-quotes to prevent late edits. Rob implemented the Honorable Mention system and his 5+ years at the helm have basically made him chairman emeritus.
I wouldn’t want a return to the old style and I suppose it’s a give/take but just feels like a civic responsibility regularly discarded by a couple of us.
I try to vote every time I submit, as that's when I know I'll be in the the thread and active instead of just hunting for praise for my sheet brilliance.
But I'll admit there's times when I have an idea and I want to get that posted and have to come back later and vote.

Happy Monday folks! How was your weekend?
The votes are neck and neck for ROUND 2 with some great designs overall!
Voting goes until EOD or until I get to a computer in the morning

1- John- Rodimus - seen many a transformer dial that tries too hard to do everything a transformer should do. This does it without trying hard at all.
2-SC- Trauma - don’t get me started on how AA is a plagiarized Hunger Games but this dial lets me forget that for a moment.
3- Hess- Logan/Laura - there are so many good options below 75 points that banking on that point value is questionable. Blades isn’t consistent enough even with your minimums to take up half the build. 125 all day but not a penny more.
HM: absolutely loved the following but language
KJS- Mr. Terrific - you had me until FREE. Sending everyone to a rules forum to clarify intent is one of your disqualifiers and rightfully so. Would’ve taken the top spot otherwise
Question- Robin - the trait is more complicated than need be the way it’s worded.
LG- Elsa Bloodstone - cannot be reduced would’ve saved the redundancy of penetrating that can’t be reduced below 1. Headscratch.
Extra HM to BDub’s Hatman but I second that feels like a 50 point dial that still requires spending points on another character to see full potential. 24 points for HT rookie makes the near 100 point minimum investment that 75 total would’ve justified imo. Autonomous doesn’t make up for it.
You said make anything I want and I heard more Knight Terrors.

Goodbye, My Love: When Lois Lane is KOd, heal Man of Screams 1 click and he has Battle Fury and Close Combat Expert of the rest of the game
2 Gun Kid - Starman - Love how it works with your Starman from the other contest LostGaladorian - Elsa Bloodstone - Close to perfect Elsa. I also like how she directly counters my round 2 entry's tricks, as she should Superherojhn - Rodimus - Impressed by how smooth the Transform mechanic feels
Hm
Dragonfly2099 - Judge Anderson
RockyRaccoon - Luke Skywalker
2-SC- Trauma - don’t get me started on how AA is a plagiarized Hunger Games but this dial lets me forget that for a moment.
I think you are mixing Trauma up with someone else. Secondly Avengers Arena is a direct reference to Battle Royale. See the cover of issue 1 as evidence.

It was sort of parodying (or ripping off, depending on your perspective) both Hunger Games and Battle Royale, that was sort of the joke. Lord of the Flies gets specifically mentioned too. Trauma wasn't a direct participant, but it pretty much brought all the storylines involving member of Avengers Academy and Initiative to a start. As a huge Young Avengers fan, I'm deeply thankful Kieron Gillen chose to start his second volume when he did, I'm almost certain they would have been dragged into Avengers Arena too if they weren't busy.
Anyway, here's my votes this week.
1. Elsa Bloodstone- I'm a sucker for Nextwave dials, but even if I weren't I'd love this combo of close and ranged combat that makes for a dial that feels just like Elsa should.
2. Hatman: A fun dial, and that hats pack more of a punch than first meets the eye.
3. Luke Skywalker: I always admire people who do Title character dials, they're very tricky but this one seems perfect for Luke.
Honorable Mentions: Nite Owl II, Mark
My Heroclix sets
Current Projects: Teen Titans Animated, Star Wars, Yu-Gi-Oh Series 4, My Hero Academia, Detective Comics
Likely so. All I remember is the kid of DD villain Mr Fear (I assume its Fagan). Fits into the whole created as a legacy trend that defined Marvel in the oughts. AA, Young Masters, The Initiative, Young Avengers, etc. Hit or miss and mostly the latter imo. Passing off sparks in a jar as lightning in a bottle is my biggest gripe with Marvel and they’re nothing if not persistent.
Not really a manga guy. Wasn’t aware of Battle Royale. Still plagiarized and released alongside the films with similar plot. Lazy and uncreative. Doesn’t change my vote.
