Iron Man narrowed his eyes at the imposters from behind his cool mask "Doesn't matter what their plan is. I'll activate the Iron Legion for some reinforcements." He began to go through the Iron Legion's activation protocols when his doppelganger's eyes' glowed. The armor seemed to melt and reshape, narrowing in figure and warping in color and texture until it resembled something sleeker and flesh-colored.

Spider-Man spoke up "Ummm...is this a dream I'm having or did Ultron just turn in to a naked lady? Please don't tell me I forgot to wear pants to school."

Iron Man refocused back on Ultron, and responded. "Umm...well it's a long story. Just don't ask who it got the image from."

"There's a real life girl who looks like that? I might have to leave this entire part out when I tell MJ what my day was like."

The distraction was just for a moment, but a moment was all Ultron needed. Several of the Iron Legions were activated, but they began to take on a similar appearance to the other phony Iron Man.

"Ultron Drones, Operation: Swarm" the robot spoke, and the drones began to slowly move toward their original creator. Iron Man looked over to give Batman instructions, only to find the caped crusader had already moved. Hawkeye and Iron Man followed suite, and ran in to quickly supress the Drones advance. Iron Man opened the com channel and asked "Batman, where did you go? I need you to.."

Batman cut him off "...make sure that Ultron doesn't reach the central terminal so that he can activate the Tower defenses. I got it." He said. The Dark Justice League moved towards the center of the room, moving closer to the terminal. However, they moved in a group, and as Batman approached, he knew he could take advantage of that. Initially sticking to the shadows, Batman leapt out to throw a batarang in to the crowd, sticking it to the false Captain America's inferior shield. The villains smirked, and Captain Boomerang looked from the shield to Batman and said "Just because it looks like a target, don't mean it is one, mate. Lemme show ya how it's done." He said as he began to wind up. Moments later, he regretted the boast as the Batarang exploded, catching himself, Venom, and Captain America, and Black Adam in the blast.

"It burrrrnns ussss!" Venom hissed. Black Adam narrowed his gaze at the singular man who had the gall to strike him. Seeing his teammates take a shot, Bullseye growled, and said "Lemme show you how it's done you bloody Aussie!" He tumbled through his own group, and let a flurry of knives toward Batman. Batman tried to duck for cover, but a second volley aimed at the ceiling ricocheted and nailed Dark Knight. Captain Boomerang tried to follow suit, but was unable to land a shot. Ultron redirected a new drone to begin surrounding the Bat, and Black Adam immediately charged Batman, gripping his neck and lifing off of the ground with his supernatural speed. "Don't expect mercy from me, mortal. I shall end you here and now."

Struggling for breath, Batman grunted "I'm sure you'll try." He moved his hands from his neck to his belt, and pressed a small button on the side. The belt exploded outward, hitting Black Adam, the drone, and Bullseye, and leaving Captain America and Captain Boomerang passed out on the floor. Hearing the explosion, Superman rushed to the aid of his friend, just in time to find him with the enemy group. Falling to the floor, and catching his breath, Batman stood up just long enough to see an enraged Venom leaping upon him. Bowling Batman over, Venom's nails turned in to claws and his muscled talons sunk in to various spots on Batman's chest.

Watching Batman go down, Superman yelled out "Bruce!" Spider-Man caught up just in time to see everything, and said. "Go for the eyes! Or...use your eyes to go for him!" Superman let out a blast of heat vision, and the symbiote shrieked and sizzled, melting around a passed out host. Superman immediately flew up to toss him aside and engage the rest of the group responsible for his friend's incapacitation.

However, moments later, even with his super hearing, Superman found himself suddenly surrounded by ninjas in red outfits. "Who are these?" he asked. In the background, he could hear the wall being blown in nearby, and several boots that sounded like HYDRA agents walking through. "We shall restore our lost honor this day!" Imperial Hydra yelled at his subordinates.

In the meantime, Iron Man had driven Ultron off from the main computer, and even managed to take out Bullseye in the meantime, but was having trouble pinning Ultron down. While the main body was occupied, the other drones were appearing in droves to either help him move around, or to cut off Iron Man's pursuit. Iron Man also knew that he was losing the digital war. Ultron hadn't physically made it to the centeral temrinal, but he was slowly worming his way in to the system through the external firewalls. Iron Man had to shut him down now. He'd left Clint to watch over the terminal, which doubled as a nest to fire from. Clint peeked over the edge just in time to see Superman and Spider-Man surrounded by the Hand. "Ninjas AND Robots? When did this fight get so cool?" he said knocking and firing three arrows, and firing them in to Superman's assailants. Superman wasn't slowing down. He'd just managed to knock out his own impersonator and stood to face the invisible army that had popped out of the woodwork. "The odds are against us, but I won't quit fighting!" he said, effortlessly knocking out the ninjas. Several of them tried to attack, but their blades simply snapped against the Kryptonian skin.

Imperial Hydra kept pulling reinforcements though, and the ninjas gave way to more Hydra agents. He sent them up to distract Hawkeye, as well as to continue keeping the Man of Steel and his Neighborhood Friend busy. Strucker had promised a special surprise was on the way, and all's he need do is hold out.

Iron Man had finally cornered Ultron, but Ultron continued to replicate more Drones to defend itself with. Each drone was perfectly programmed to respond to Ultron's commands, and to uphold the same programming to be perfectly loyal to Osborn and Luthor's commands. Everytime Ultron tried to question or defy the programming, his neural net would instinctively loop back to the enemy at hand. It was...quite infuriating on a subconscious level for the robot.

Spider-Man and Superman finished off the ninjas, and Superman used his hearing once again to fly up and try to cut the head off of the Hydra agents. However, as he decked Imperial Hydra, the puppet leader remained conscious long enough to spurt out "cut off one head..." before the life sensors dropped and his suit exploded next to Superman. Superman could taste his own blood briefly, and his eyes blinded for a brief moment. The other agents tried to capitalize on the distraction, but to no avail. In the meantime, when Superman's vision returned, he saw a new enemy, the Silver Samurai, with a new score of ninjas. "...and two shall take it's place." the samurai finished.

Iron Man made a quick call for backup, realizing that this was going nowhere. Ultron was building replacements as fast as he could tear them apart. Spider-Man realized that he was the closest, so he tried to help, but found himself wading through both the remaining Hydra agents and an Ultron Drone. The Hydra agent pulled out a can of poison spray, though it did nothing to the wallcrawler. "Seriously? Did you just try to hit me with bug spray?" He said, before kicking the spray out of the agent's hand and knocking him unconscious. The drone took advantage of the opening, and landed a kidney punch in to Spider-Man's side, barreling him through one of the fountains and in to a wall. It spoke up in a gravelly metallic voice, which felt uncharacteristic from the feminine form "Execute: Operation Annihilate." Groaning for a moment, Spider-Man looked up at the robot. "I'm definitely leaving this part out. 'Oh no MJ! I didn't do anything interesting. Stopped a mugger, helped an old lady across the street...definitely didn't get slapped around by nude girl robot that sounds vaguely like James Spader." He leapt up and tore the latest drone apart before moving up to help Tony.

Meanwhile, Superman was having his own trouble. The ninjas had landed a few shots, and had actually nicked his skin. Silver Samurai grinned. "Did I forget to mention? Unlike the Hydra buffoons, we came prepared. These swords were blessed by sacred priests who worship the Beast. In other words, they are magical....gaijin." He spit the last word with contempt.

Spider-Man had finally rejoined Iron Man. Hawkeye was still trying to play keep away, but some Hydra stragglers were still harassing him. As Spider-Man leapt onto the platform with iron Man and Ultron, he webbed Ultron's face, and pulled it in to his fist, punching as hard as he could. "MJ's gonna kill me" he said. Iron Man noticed the effect immediately, and was finally able to eliminate more of the drones and regain control of the CPU at the same time. He saw through the cameras that Superman was actually in over his head, and re-routed some Iron Legion drones to help. Things were looking up! That is, until the room exploded and a large crocodile monster walked in with an elderly couple.

Superman was making headway on the ninjas, and the Iron Legion was helping him turn the tide, but suddenly, out of the shadows with all of the stealth of his fallen friend, claws burst out and tried to eviscerate him. A short man with a green and yellow Hydra uniform stood before him, and he was even more organized than the Samurai at coordinating his attacks. Superman lashed out, and punched out a ninja, and heard more than a few things snap when he landed a hit on the new opponent. However, he was dismayed when Wolverine, Agent of Hydra stood back up, his body restructuring itself to negate the brunt of the attack. Superman stood horrified as the ninjas descended upon him and he succumbed to the blessed steel.

Ultron's eyes glowed, and he stood still for a moment after Spider-Man's attack. However, moments later he spoke and said "110111 ERROR REBOOT" and his body started to repair itself. Moreover, Ultron felt different. The attack had not only damaged his body, but the part of his body that kept him under Osborn's control. He immediately resumed his cyber-warfare with Iron Man, whose armor was badly damaged." A new drone charged Iron Man, and was able to punch him, opening a chink in his armor. Destiny, the elderly woman blankly looked in his direction before firing a crossbow and saying "your future...is dark." Moments later, darkness overtook Iron Man, and Spider-Man was left to fend for himself. Deciding that fleeing for his life was the better part of valor or something, he ran back and tried to regroup with Hawkeye. However, the enemies were running amok in the tower, and before they could escape, Sentinels crashed through the wall and stared down blankly at the heroes. Spider-Man deftly evaded Wolverine, only to be cut down by the Silver Samurai, and Croc barely resisted devouring the man who tasted like chicken. As the Sentinels looked down at the fallen heroes, however, a small twinge crept in to the back of their minds, and their ocular sensors flickered for a minute before they each quietly said "Upload Finished," a phrase mirrored by the now alone Ultron.

The unceremonious butt kicking of Batman

We did two games without access to fancy new DC stuff, switching sides the next day. My friend doesn't do as much competive play so I won both. Second game Justice League won on turn 7 (I should've encouraged JLD to turtle), the first game lasted a bit longer, it went like so:

Venom and Captain Boomerang took near center hiding in Stealth with Cap just around the corner read to Charge when needed. Black Adam carried Bullseye down the side for some devious flanking while Ultron sat back powering-up and occasionally taking a few steps to get into position.

At first the JL rushed to the center to face the confrontation like men. Batman and Hawkeye soon caught on to Bullseye surprise attack up the rear. Black Adam found he was able to move between back and center with ease. Superman, Iron Man and Spidey had some luck bringing the pain on Cap, Venom and Captain Boomerang but with the arrival of Kingpin and Crossbones, they needed to work faster.

That didn't happen. With Kingpin Outwitting anyone while being adjacent to Crossbones aiming down the corridor, Superman and Iron Man's thick skins were being compromised. Batman and Hawkeye were looking defeated simultaneously. Not long after, Red Skull with a Hydra Field Agent showed up to watch the demise of Justice League.

KOs: Captain America, Venom, Captain Boomerang and all of Justice League.

Superman's special Trait failed to work.

Yet again, the continuing battle between myself (good) and Joey Slapshot (EVIL)...

Sentinels and Suicide Squad didn't even have to make an appearance but suffice to say they were also brutal.

The Story:

Perimeter alarms sounded mid meeting as The Justice League scrambled. Supes and Spidey took the lead, while Batman dipped into his specialized battle armor, sensing something big was looming.

Suddenly Superman to his own dismay saw with his x-ray vision a Captain America and Superman dopplegangers hiding behind the wall, Superman blasts the wall down with his x-ray vision. "Clint!" He barks commandingly. Without a second's hesitation Hawkeye fires off an exploding arrow, wounding the counterfeit Cap.

"What the hell was that?!" Hawkeye called, before he could respond however a red and blue blur slammed the massive conference table on top of him down to the floor with a sickening thud.

"Clint!" Iron Man and Spiderman both immediately responded with violence lashing out at the impostor Superman avenging their fallen comrade.

Suddenly, the evil Cap, led Captain Boomerang, Ultron, Venom and Bullseye into the fray. Blows were exchanged and both sides sustained casualties as the battle was on, eventually Venom, Ultron and Bullseye stood toe to toe with Spidey, Supes and Iron Man when suddenly Silver Samurai and some ninjas leapt from the shadows.

The numbers constantly wearing down the mighty League, eventually Supes and Spidey stood alone against Venom, Ultron, Bullseye, 2 Hand Ninjas, 2 Deltite LMDs, Baron Strucker, Killer Croc and Quicksilver.

Spidey eventually stood alone against Venom, Bullseye, a hand ninja, an LMD, Baron Strucker, Killer Croc and Quicksilver.

His death was swift but probably painful.

The Dark Justice League stood triumphant.

We lasted 16 rounds.

Myself and Missing Lynk played. I managed 22 rounds before I died. For more details he should have a write up here soon enough.

The street was littlered with cars and rubble as the dark justice looked out over their destruction. Superman calls his good justice league together and says, " this is for lois!" in a blink of an eye justice league was in the face of their dark counterparts. Shots rained down like hellfire, koing wraith and hawkeye quickly. Batman tried to stop future iron man from doing anything but the rolls were too hot as the future leaguers of iron man 2020 and spidey 2099 take down batman, fake iron man, and fake spidey. Dark league retreats but not far enough as Supes keeps hitting his leadership to remove tokens. Hydra makes its way in but hawkeye knows just what to do. Spidey does clean up. Hydra makes a comeback but again falls to 2020 IM as he makes multiple attacks. It isnt long before the head of brainwashed cap gets knocked off with a crit...deadpool was knowhere to be found.

Finished on turn 11 without further waves coming in due to time constraints but didnt matter as the justice league was all nearly full health.

HRS Event 4

Turn one "Superman" led the Dark Justice League on the assault carrying up Venom. All members advance up.

The Justice League takes advantage of imposters positioning and attack first.
Batman gets into position hiding in plain site just feet from Ultron.
Iron man targets Bullseye but unfortunately misses by a mile.
Superman showed him how it's done shooting at Ultron with his laser eyes knocking him into the wall then pulling back to Ironman for potential Leadership use.
Spiderman and Hawkeye advance positioning just behind Superman and Ironman.

Turn 2
Venom lept landing in between each and all of the heroes while "Cap" charged Tony. He unfortunately hit Tony doing more to annoy him then hurt him.

Iron Man hits frequency charge temporary distracting Venom as Spiderman grabs dumpster. When he goes to swing though he sees 2 Ironmen.
Batman bounces batterangs off Ultron and Venom knocking both off balance.
Superman flashes by Boomerang and before he knows it Boomerang is out before he hits the ground.
Hawkeye hits both Ultron and Venom.

Turn 3

Ultron self repairs while Bullseye takes opportunity to strike, just scratching Superman and Batman.
Black Adam grabs anchor and advances.

Iron Man Slaps Captain America. "Snap out of it Cap!"

Turn 4

Captain America tries to hit Iron Man and falls down in process.
Venom bases Superman, Iron Man, and Hawkeye.
Ultron tries to Steal Energy from Batman and hurt himself in process.
Black Adam drops an anchor on Hawkeye KOing him.
Bullseye tries again on Superman, Batman, and Spiderman.

Justice League heals as Superman Leadership helps them all.
Batman bounces another Batarang off Venom and Ultron. Venom drops.
Superman suddenly appears in front of Black Adam with his own anchor and returns a favor for Hawkeye, dropping Black Adam.
Spiderman jumps on Ultron for KO.
Iron Man knocks out Captain America.

Turn 6

Enter Hydra

Dread naught carries Crossbones up and bases Superman. Deltite LMD's advance #1 basing Batman #2 basing Superman.
Bullseye rests.

Batman bounces Batarangs off LMD and Bullseye.
Ironman shoots Bullseye.
Superman smacks Crossbones.
Spiderman charges Dreadnaught.

Turn 6

Crossbones tries to shank Spiderman and misses.
Dreadnaught tries as well and misses.
Bullseye cant hit Superman.
Both LMDs miss.

Iron Man repositions.

Turn 7

Both sides miss all targets.

Turn 8

LMD sidesteps to get near Bats and can't escape supes reach.
Crossbones attacked Spidey with a knife hitting only air. Bullseye was hit by batmans grapple gun bouncing into Crossbones head knocking him out. Iron Man them assaulted both Bullseye and Dreadnought hitting them with his weaponry.

Turn 9

Hydra reinforcements appeared

in time to witness a Dreadnought and the deltites miss their assaults on the justice league with batman slamming a counter punch to the robots face. Per Degaton outwits Iron Mans Indom.
In response Superman smashed Bullseye in the face and Spider-Man assaulted a robot each ending in people unable to fight.

Turn 10

Per Degaton used a special EMP to take out Iron Man defense. Hydra Section barely unable to hit. The Deltite however took advantage and caused damage Tony.
The Justice league rallied removing many an enemy before the Hydra had a response. KO Dreadnaught, Crossbones and LMD. As Hydra Recruits advance.

Turn 11

Per Degaton smack Tony for two, Deltite leap to between Tony and his boss.
Justice League removed all Hydra Recruits.

Turn 12
Brotherhood enters.


Mastermind outwitted defense on Superman and Toad attacked after Scarlet Witch told him to advance.
Killer Croc moved up preparing to attack.
Per Degaton outwits Tony defense and section chief hits for two. Deltite pushed and missed Tony.
Spidey rushed Croc and Supes hit Toad.

Turn 13

Mastermind outwit defense Toad hit poison. Per Degaton finally takes out Iron man.
Batman smacked Mastermind and he lived.

Turn 14

Deltite healed for one with Regen
Toad punched supes and missed
Croc struck at Spidey and missed
Same with Switch and Mastermind.
Hydra section chief pulse wave. Hits bat decagon and Deltite.
Bats hit toad knocking him out.
Spidey crit hit Croc
Supes koed Mastermind.

Turn 15

Sentinels arrive


Per Degaton went to the Sentinels bringing the section chief with him. Per Degaton outwit Supes defense and Sentinel shoots at Supes taking a chunk out of him.

Sentinel One misses

Third hits for one
Fourth misses
Fifth aims at Spidey. Misses.
Supes attacks and hurts sentinel one.
Bats takes out LMD.

Turn 16

Croc flurried Spidey an both shape changes made.
Sentinel big hits supers and he paused a moment starring Per Degaton and the big sentinel.
Scarlet Witch shot from behind and missed. Section chief also missed
Sentinel one crit missed. Sentinel two missed. Three missed. Four missed.
Spidey punched croc

Per Degaton tried to finish out Supes but missed
