Hey, everyone! So, I would like some helpful tips on making an awesome Avengers Theme Team. I want to include CAPTAIN AMERICA (he is my favorite Marvel Superhero, so he is a MUST!), Falcon (Cap's trusty partner), Hawkeye, and Ant-Man (Scott Lang). So, recently, I got in the mail the first 3 from the Avengers Assemble set and Ant-Man from Age of Ultron. So, if you guys don't mind, I would like some helpful hints and tips, please.
Well, you've got no shortage of Captain America, especially if you don't care about who's holding that name. Hawkeye is also fairly common. I'm not really a big Avengers guy myself, but I have some suggestions for you.
Check with your local venue about their Sidekick Night events. If they run any, you might be able to acquire this Captain America piece. As a secondary attacker, this guy is really solid, and will probably be in your kit for a long time.If you want a more supportive leader in Cap, this common from Avengers/Defenders War is also one of the best leader pieces in the game, albeit mostly for Avengers.
I haven't been in the game terribly long myself, only about 2 years, so I haven't seen much Falcon. This is fairly new, and if you want his movie representation, it's a fine basic one. He even has a trait called "I'm with Cap," so it sounds like the theme works for you.
I really like the new Hawkeye in the Avengers Infinity Fast Forces. The ability to curve your shot is extremely useful. You can stay behind cover and still shoot at 9 range, with Ranged Combat Expert!Otherwise, I like the movie Age of Ultron Hawkeye. He excels at shooting multiple targets, doesn't care about Stealth through the Avengers Initiative TA, and is generally a really big pain. Not super mobile, but he'll do the job you want him to do.

Thanks for the tips. Though, with Avengers Assemble Cap (AVAS049), I feel like I can really pack a punch.
I do have the ADW Cap, CACWFF Falcon, and AIFF Hawkeye. Though, I would like something that can really pack a punch, deal a lot of damage, and stay alive for a long time.
If you want a healer you want this figure. Defend your target down to a 15D and use support. Also you keep the uncommon Jane Thor from the same set on your sideline for a chance to turn into her.

Hmm! I didn't think about using civilian supporting characters. What kind of abilities does Jane have? Also, what's a 15D though? Is that a 15-sided die?
I wasn't going for a full team there, just figure suggestions.
That Jane Foster is really nice. 15D is referring to its defense. The power of Support is used for healing, but you have to make a kind-of-but-not-really attack roll. Therefore, if the target has low defense, it's more likely to work, so healers tend to have low defense with Defend to give that to their target. Plus, Jane Foster has the ability to potentially turn into Thor, just that one specific Thor figure.
So, you want a durable damage-dealer, huh? I've got some ideas.
This is not actually that good, but holy crap it feels awesome! He definitely meets all your specs: hits hard, durable. There are a lot of Hulks I like, though.
You get this little guy in the Mighty Thor starter, and he's easily the best figure there. He doesn't have much health, but he does a lot of work for his points. Full move Quake (plus Avengers TA) and really high stats. What's not to like?
How about going on the extreme end with this Hulk? This one doesn't have pseudo-STOP clicks like the movie Hulk, but the rest of him makes up for it so hard.
To be honest though, when I think of a balanced Hulk, I reach for this guy. He's a solid threat to start, especially against all the big guns coming out now. After some damage, he still hits really hard, and can even regen at the end. Sounds like a solid middle-of-the-road Hulk. Technically not Avengers, though.
This guy is absolutely the Damage role. He gets in your face, needs you to hit a 20, charges for 12-3 and follows up with a 12-5! Iron Fist is a threat everywhere.
My favorite Avenger. That Outwit is... beastly, and he can get right in the heart of combat.
Similarly, this Rogue's ability to steal powers is always useful. Played at 150 over 90, she becomes extremely solid at that STOP click. It's going to be really hard to top this Rogue.
There's not a single click on this guy I wouldn't take as an attacker. Since range is such a big part of the game, making this difficult choice on an opponent can easily go badly for them.

Sideline: adw018 Black Panther for Shifting Focus
If we're going with Modern (which this won't be for very long... if it even is now, I'm not sure, I never cared about Modern), this is what I'd do with your prerequisites. Scott hasn't been Modern for a while, and Falcon's about to rotate out. If you need to, again I don't know Modern stuff, but wkM17-007 Falcon might work, leaving 20 points for this that could be filled with a ffaiG001p Giant-Girl or two.
Ok, as for what this team gives you. Captain America plays a supporting role here through his amazing Leadership. Just keep him within range (no LoF needed), and you're coin-flipping his ability to remove tokens every turn. He can still be a secondary attacker, just keep the melee pieces busy so they don't charge him. Or, maybe, don't. One decent hit and he gets solid close defense, so he can get into that. Hawkeye from the recent FF is absolutely amazing with the Curved Arrow and RCE, well worth his points. Hulk is obviously your big bruiser, coming in for 11 with Leap/Climb to Quake hard and keep your opponent down. Black Panther provides the always-useful Outwit, and I highly recommend you keep him on that for as long as possible. Wasp provides essentially Colossal Retaliation, one of the big meta abilities right now.
Shifting out of Modern, it sounds like you want Captain America to be the big hitter/tank (instead of Hulk... which baffles me, but ok). I really looked around for this. Maybe it's because I'm just not an Avengers guy, but in most situations, I couldn't find a Steve Rogers that's tanky and make the rest of the team good. I'm sure this is due to my lack of experience on Avengers, so the ideas don't just pop in my head. Most of his figures will do fine engaging in combat, but not much for damage reducers. If you can forgive him not reducing damage much, I believe this to be the most solid Avengers team I can find meeting all of your other conditions (and making Steve a fighter more than a leader) and with reasonably attainable figures (no chases or LE's).
Everything after Hawkeye is just to make a 100-point extension. I'm sure this isn't exactly what you'd like, but like I said, it's hard for me when I'm not a big Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D. guy. I'd probably still run the aforemented adw011 Captain America for amazing Leadership, but his Asgardian starter self is fine, too. Not a lot of Perplex, but lots of other things that modify stats. Beast is one of the better Outwit pieces in my eyes. Scarlet Witch brings some nice Probability Control, which was surprisingly hard for me to find in this keyword. I heavily considered the Avengers Infinity Hawkeye, but the A:AoU Hawkeye is just stellar to me. Giant Girl and Jessica Jones are more of point sinks, but they're both quite good for their points. If we're going to include Jane Foster, a reasonable inclusion for her great healing, I basically have to shift around a lot of stuff.
With Jane, I end up going with Infinity Hawkeye. Less overall potential, still really solid for taking out single targets. He also gives Jessica more to do, since he can't see through Stealth here. In fact, added bonus of slightly more mobility with the trait.
Finally, my awful attempt to make Steve Rogers his own macho macho man.
It requires learning about how vehicles work, but that vehicle becomes pretty decent for Hawkeye. The other S.H.I.E.L.D. pieces aim to help shut down team abilities, such as Power Cosmic or Batman Ally that could provide some real trouble. It's a silly, gimmicky team, but probably good for a laugh.
BTW: You can show figures by going into the Units section on top of this site, finding the figure you want, and clicking the "Dial" link in the upper-right corner of the figure. This will open up a new window where you can copy the Inline Dial text to put into your post. The teams I just showed here can be set up by using the [team] function. Check the quote of this message to see how that works.

Okay, so I have a question about putting Jane Foster on my Team. Let's say that I have an 800-point Avengers Theme Team, and Jane fills up 30 points. Now, I want to put Thor in, and she's worth 100 points. Is her point value added to the total number of points that I have?
This game has a "sideline" of various game elements that don't begin on the map. In the case of Jane/Thor, you don't actually pay any points for Thor. If the ability triggers during the game that swaps her for Thor, then Jane goes to the sideline and Thor takes her place. You've still actually paid 30 points for the figure, only now she's worth 100 if your opponent scores it.
I used to do a similar trick with Yu-Gi-Oh pieces that could ritual summon another creature from my sideline. The actual mechanics of that are drastically different, but any trick where you can get that level of point efficiency is nuts.

AI Tigra is a good figure to pick up for Avengers teams (or any team). The opportunity to give everyone on your team Charge and BCF, for only 50 pts, is phenomenal. I played her with the other AI chases in a 500 pt game and the game was over by the 4th turn. So many flurry attacks haha.
